Our hosts are lovely, thoughtful people. The apartment is comfortable and exceptionally clean. Upon arrival we were welcomed warmly. A freshly baked Kugelhof was waiting for us on the kitchen table along with flowers, preserves, and a few extras in the fridge. We made good use of and appreciated the full kitchen. Our stay in Hatten allowed us to easily explore the surrounding countryside and towns. We were particularly interested in Maginot line sights of which there were many in the vicinity. Our host very kindly did some laundry for us as we had been travelling for quite some time. This was much appreciated.Just one more thing: the Internet connection was spotty but this did not trouble us. We thoroughly enjoyed this part of Alsace.

Rudy and Doris are the best host and hostess. We had many laughs trying to translate their German and our English. We arrived late and the beds were already made up. They walked us thru how to use all the home appliances and bathroom facilities and then provided us with a continental breakfast in the am. Beds were comfortable. There is no air conditioning and a couple nights it was quite warm but a room fan was provided. That may be a problem if coming in the heat of the summer. Restaurants, supermarket and pastry shops within walking distance in the lovely small community. We were within easy reach of larger cities and Germany but had the quiet of the small village. We thank Rudy and Doris for making our stay so pleasant while we did our French Geneology research.
