About this cottage rental

Old corp farm located outside the village, in a very quiet and friendly place, 10 km from Saint-Omer, 20km from Dunkirk, near Bergues, Francoise and Francis welcome you in a cottage of 4to 5 or you can find everything comfort, kitchen, lounge, bathroom and 3 bedrooms upstairs, tv, etc ... wiffi
You can enjoy many walking paths, you can also visit the La Coupole, the ramparts of Bergues, the port of Dunkirk, the blockhouse Eperlesques etc ..

This is a great place to stay. Ludovico is the new owner and he and his wife are so kind. We got past the language barrier pretty easily. My wife enjoyed cooking in the kitchen and I enjoyed doing the shopping, going to the nearby Aldi almost every day. We found really interesting day trips near St Omer and Dunkerque. Highly recommend this place. We hope to return.

Our time at the gite will leave us with lots of good memories. A very comfortable place so easy and quick to get to from Calais. It is a nice area and in easy reach too of the coast, Lille (an hour by train) and Bruges (an hour in the car) for instance. The nearby village has a much (by us) used bakery, and we enjoyed doing a set circular walk around. We enjoyed some table tennis in the games room too. Francoise a very good host/owner.

Amazing stay!

Beautiful property in the French countryside with all amenities close by. Checkin was a breeze and the owners left us a some bottled water and a bowl of apricots picked from their property as a welcome. Very clean property. Games room was a big hit with 2 thirteen year old boys- there was badminton, pool and ping pong to keep them entertained. Great stay - highly recommend if you’re wanting to experience northern France and Belgium.

We enjoyed our stay in this well equiped Gite, we found a Aldi & Lidl supermarket near by. Had some nice days out visiting near by towns and villages. Sadly T.V was all in French & no outside light to keep on in the evenings only light sensor. We went at the end of the season so sadly the weather was colder than expected and no other visitors to talk to in the other gites joined. Had to leave earlier than expected due to family commitments. Thank you.

We stayed here for 2 weeks during the July heatwave, so lucky to have good weather. Our accommodation was excellent and our communication via phone apps was a well worked solution to the language barrier, lol. Francis and Francoise are perfect hosts and on hand if required. Amenities and fittings in the gite are perfect for a holiday stay and all set in lovely peaceful surroundings. We would definitely book again in the future. Merci Francoise et Francis. Thank you to Francis and francoise the cottage was lovely very clean totally fully equipped with everything that you need .when the twins saw the games room they were in heaven ,on the owners direct website the pictures don't do the lovely farm any justice as there's no pictures of the cottages and there so beautiful with all the flowers and the price is amazing for what you got ,tom tom was very accurate and had no problem finding the property many thanks Heidi terry emily Toby and harry wadsworth

Francoise and Francis made me and my dog very welcome. As they have a cat and free range poultry the dog had to remain on a lead outside the Gite. The Gites (there are 3) are all well maintained, clean and comfortable. The two articles I would say would improve the comfort slightly are a kettle and a hairdryer, otherwise I would have gladly given a 5th star.

We arrived and were welcomed very friendly, despite we do not speak a single word French we managed to communicate pretty well using a translator app, smart move of the host. Inside there was a manual in English with full details of the apartment, which was very good, and things to do around. Many flyers and information of places to visit. We visited for 7 days and saw a lot of things, great natural parks to visit, but also many other things close by, our kid of 2 years especially liked the Bal Parc, we visited it twice. Its a kid heaven from 2 to say 10 years. Many historical sites and especially Watten is a nice town to eat and visit. Thank you for such a great time! We fully recommend this.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour. La location est impeccable, l'agencement très fonctionnel et très sympa. Il y a dans cette location tout ce que l'on peut avoir besoin, même un barbecue ! Un calme absolu. La location est idéalement située, près de beaucoup d'excursions. Et les propriétaires sont extrêmement chaleureux, prévenant. Ils sont de bons conseils pour les idées de sortie. Ce fut un très bon séjour que nous recommandons vivement. Et dans le Nord il fait beau puisque nous avons eu 8 jours de soleil !
