Contemporary Villa Kerseal

This is a lovely house in a quiet area with an excellent outdoor space.

Our host was very helpful and prompt in his communication with us, which was great. The location is ideal and absolutely beautiful. Located in the middle of the country side by a small port, it is a great place to disconnect and enjoy the peace and quiet of Brittany. The house is beautiful and practical and was comfortable. There are however a couple of things that need improving for it to be worth the cost. The wooden decking was in such a poor condition we got 9 splinters on the first day (4 children and 1 adult got splinters). Thankfully, we asked the owners parents for something to cover the decking and were given a rug and a couple small matts to create a path to the swimming pool. This more or less sorted the splinter issue (still one or two after that, but at least it was better). Unfortunately the cuttlery was cheap and flimsy and bent in our hands whilst we were eating. Not what you would expect from such a nice looking place for which you pay a great deal of money. The induction hob regularly switched off on its own and was not quick to cook the meals. The kitchen was done on the cheap, which again is a real shame for such a beautiful home. In spite of this we had a great stay with our friends, and loved the swimming pool and villa as a whole. What really spoilt our stay was doing check-out with the owners parents. I tried to broach the fact there were a couple bits that could be improved upon but this was not well taken at all and even though we paid 250 euros for the linen and house to be cleaned, I was told by the owners mother that she might charge me extra for cleaning as the house was not left in a clean state. For the record, we had wiped down the surfaces and hoovered (which is more than we usually ever do when staying in a rental). The attitude I was confronted with really dampened the mood and for this simple reason, I would not recommend the villa. It is beautiful, but way too expensive for what it really is. The architecture of the villa is impressive, well done, modern, clean and streamlined, but the rest doesn't follow. For a week at 3700 euros, I would expect better quality utensils, no splinters in our feet and to be treated with a minimum of customer service and fairly. I was not charged in the end but was disappointed by the attitude.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed and the garden and pool were lovely The pool is a good size. The house is located in a quieter, but beautiful part of Brittany. There were lots of sites to visit nearby. Check in and check out process went smoothly and William was an excellent host. All in all, a lovely stay. Thank you

Property and location were fantastic. The property owners were very helpful and responsive. The facilities were excellent, particularly the outdoor furniture and swimming pool.

The property was as expected very modern and spacious. The only addition would be a manual explaining how some equipment worked eg the hoover system which we did not use but would have. The property was well equipped.

Beautiful house and pool in a small, picturesque town in Brittany. Close to the river and beaches but quiet enough to cycle around the local roads. The house was exactly as advertised. Very flexible for family groups or friends. Contemporary decor. Very clean. Friendly meet and greet. Would recommend.

The house was really well set up for adults and kids, well furnished and lots of space. Easy to arrange travel arrangements and contact the vendor. A great week over too soon
