Much bigger inside than the photos suggest. Very comfortable and spacious. Pool was delightful and location excellent. Chaumont sur Loire itself had lots to offer including access to Loire, bars and restaurants. Really enjoyable holiday for all the family

We were a group of adults visiting the Loire Valley for cycling and sightseeing. The house and property were perfect for our group — a beautiful setting and a charming house. The Chateaus du Chamont Sur Loire was a surprising and delightful local sight. The property also provides great access (by bicycle or car) to charming towns (Amboise & Blois) and several spectacular chateau. A five star vacation!

We had a lovely stay in this gite it had all the amenities you could need. The beds were very comfortable and lovely large peaceful garden which our 2 year old loved. All the chateaux are in close proximity we would recommend Cheverny chateau. Highly recommended

We stayed for 2 weeks in May and used the Hunting Lodge as our home base. The house itself is large, very well equipped and we found everything we needed. The grounds and gardens are lovely, with climbing roses etc. and the location is extremely private. All of the Loire Valley sights on our list were within an easy drive … Chambord, Cheverny, Chenonceau, Chaumont, Amboise, Blois, Lavardin, etc. And one evening, we were treated to 2 hot air balloons slowly drifting by the front door … c’est magnifique !! Our host Carole was very helpful and easy to deal with. She obviously puts a lot of effort into making everything easy for visitors. We appreciated and highly recommend taking the time to read her personalized greeting and guide package. Merci Carole !!

We had a fantastic few days in the house. When we arrived, we received a warm welcome and some tips for where to visit in the area. The owner was very friendly and replied to our messages quickly. The house itself is well appointed and we felt instantly at home. It is a short drive from the local town and a small village, in which, you could find all of the essentials for a short stay. We spent a few days touring the sights and towns in the area and spent our evenings curled up in the cosy living room . Our kids particularly enjoyed having so much space both inside and out. I thoroughly recommend the house as a place to escape to.

Our family of four loved our stay at Chaumont-sur-Loire. The home was wonderful - spacious, comfortable, beautifully decorated, authentic and full of character. The location was great for exploring the Chateaux and lovely villages in the region.

We loved staying here and will come back. Everything was trouble free - slight hassle with the HomeAway app when we couldn't access our booking in details but this was due to technology - not the host. In fact Carole was tremendously helpful in sorting the problem out for us and giving us a ring with the keycode so we could circumvent the system! The house is gorgeous and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. the power shower especially was a hit - as was the pool. Stay here. It's great.

Enjoyed the location decor and size of property excellent, Only downsides were for the size of the property and the fact that it can cater for 6-8 people the utensils in the kitchen pots and pans etc were very poor also one very small barbecue which was dirty the grill top had mould on it,the last thing was why oh why in such a beautifull property with only one shower why wasn’t it functional constantly flooding but the owners did leave a squeezy mop! but we did have a lovely family holiday and despite the small criticisms would like to thank mr and Mrs dru for there sparkling wine and the use of there beautifull home.david chalkley

We just stayed 3 nights in this beautiful home with our family of 5. The location is a little secluded from town, but it's great. The interior is updated and beautifully decorated. The house is spacious and allowed us and the kids to be able to spread out a little bit. The town it is close to is very small and sleepy, but maybe that's just the days we were there. Across the river there is a large supermarket (kinda like a Walmart) that we found helpful. We enjoyed staying here while we were visiting area castles. Would have loved an extra day or two to relax and do nothing. And the kids would have loved to use the pool if we were here in the summer. Carole was a helpful host. Thanks for allowing us to stay in your rental!

We stayed in the beautiful hunting lodge in Chaumont for a week in July, and everything was just perfect. A beautiful, newly renovated, well-equipped house in a very tasteful style with a nice swimming pool, a garden (almost a park) with a small lake, table tennis, places of sun and places of shadow, a house cat that greeted us good morning every day ... nothing to complain about really. And the most pleasant of landlords. The house is situated right in the middle of "Loire Castles Land", so you can easily get around in the beautiful area by car or even better bicycle. We highly recommend this place, even though we are not so eager to talk too loud about it: we want to be able to book it again another time ;)

Le gîte de Carole est un ancien relai de chasse du château de Chaumont, niché dans un écrin de verdure avec une grande diversité d'arbres, dans lequel se trouve également un étang. La rénovation faite par les DRU est d'un niveau remarquable. Les photos du site sont à la hauteur du rendu réel. Le gîte est très lumineux, et toutes les vues sur l'extérieur sont apaisantes, que ce soit le jardin avec la piscine ou le petit carré de verdure à l'arrière avec les roses de toutes les couleurs. On s'y sent chez soi. En partant, j'ai dit à mes amis que c'était la maison de famille que je rêverais d'avoir. J'espère avoir l'occasion d'y revenir. Un grand merci à Carole et son époux !

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans ce très beau relais de chasse qui offre tout le confort. Les chambres sont chaleureuses et les pièces à vivre très agréables par leur taille et leur coté "cosy". On s'est fait des feux dans la cheminée du salon. Très chouette. C'est très bien situé pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire dont celui de Chaumont à 2 minutes. L'accueil des propriétaires est parfait. Nous recommandons!!!!

Nous avons passé un très agréable séjour en famille dans cette belle maison. Tout est choisi avec beaucoup de goût et attention par les hôtes : décoration, linge de lit, vaisselle. Il y avait même un sapin de Noël pour la grande joie de nos enfants. Nous n'avons pas pu rencontrer Carole car elle était en voyage, mais elle a pu tout organiser à distance afin que notre séjour soit réussi. Merci beaucoup et au plaisir de revenir à une autre saison.

Ce relais de chasse a été rénové avec beaucoup de goût, alliant le charme de l'ancien et le confort du moderne ! La literie est excellente et rien ne manque à l'équipement... En plus de cela, les propriétaires sont adorables et de très bons conseils pour les activités / visites (très nombreuses) à faire dans la région. Après avoir profité du gîte un weekend hivernal, au coin du feu, nous ne manquerons pas d'y retourner aux beaux jours pour profiter du magnifique jardin et de la piscine !

Le gîte est superbe, décoré avec goût et raffinement, ce qui met parfaitement en valeur la bâtisse. Nous avions pris l'option linge de maison, parfait aussi contrairement à d'autres locations où les serviettes sont passées et les draps dépareillés. En prime, il ne manque de rien dans la maison, tout est pensé pour profiter d'un maximum de confort, on se croit presque à la maison tellement tout y est : ) Au delà de ces aspects matériels, Carole est très accueillante et serviable. Elle a su être arrangeante par rapport à nos contraintes. C'est très appréciable quand on loue un gîte. Le rapport qualité/prix est à notre sens bon et nous espérons que ce gîte sera maintenu en bon état pour que tous puissions en profiter à nouveau ! Nous reviendrons avec plaisir sur une autre saison pour profiter de la piscine !
