Beautiful *** villa with swimming pool in the heart of Villefranche-sur-Mer

The villa is lovely, full of character, very well equipped; the photos don't do it justice.It's split over 3 levels: there's a basement entrance accessed through a gate from the lower part of the road, with shower and toilet, and cloakroom area. On the ground floor, there is a very comfortable lounge and well appointed dining room, a well equipped kitchen and another WC. Outside, there is a large terrace that wraps around the house, with plenty of patio furniture, sun loungers etc, as well as the much appreciated swimming pool - which was bigger than we expected. There's an additional gate to the road and entry to the house at this level.Upstairs are 3 spacious bedrooms (mattresses are on the firm side), each with air-conditioning, and a lovely bathroom.A few other reviews have mentioned road noise, which is valid. The villa is situated in a bend on a narrow road that climbs steeply, so vehicles would pass twice as they rounded the corner. Motorbike noise was most noticeable but it did go quiet during the night so didn't disturb sleep.Its also worth mentioning that Villefranche is built into a steep hill, so there is a bit of a climb to get back from the beach! This was fine for us, but if you had fitness / mobility issues, the location of the villa might give you some challenges (unless you had a car - there is a parking space available).Communication with Ken and Julie was excellent.Thoroughly recommend - we had a fantastic week here.

Such a perfect house in the heart of Villefrance-sur-Mer. Was an easy quick walk to the beach, restaurants, old town, train station and Fort du Mont Alban. The location could not be better for visiting all the neighbouring towns like Menton, Monaco, St Paul de Vence, Nice, Ventimiglia, Cap Ferrat. The house was super clean, comfortable and spacious for myself, my daughter, mother and sister. We had a parking spot which was fabulous for our rental car and a nice little pool to cool off in after a long day of walking. Thank you to Ken and Julie for making everything so easy and fabulous!!!

We had a great week-long stay at this beautiful villa in Villefranche Sur Mer.It was clean, has very good facilities (air conditioning throughout, 2 bathrooms and a W/C, ample space with a lounge, it's own pool, a parking space, etc, etc), and is well located, with shops, a couple of bakeries and eateries within a few minutes walk and a beach, more shops and restaurants within ten minutes walk (albeit it is hilly and the walk back is all up-hill).There was great communication from Kenneth the property owner and Julie who does the handover. She and her mother also gave some very helpful advice of where to go and what to do.The only minor annoyances were that the boiler regularly needed resetting (otherwise there was no hot water) and there was a lot of debris (leaves and dead flowers) from the trees in the garden that ended up in the pool. There was a net to fish this out with, but it had no pole, so you couldn't get the stuff off the bottom. I think these issues especially stuck out as everything else was so well considered and this was otherwise a great place to stay.

We booked this property for the second half of our French holiday ( family of 5 including 3 teenage children). We were delighted with our choice of property & location. Villefranche is idyllic- so much nicer than it’s close neighbor Nice, whilst still being ideally placed to explore the rest of the Riveria if desired ( which we did).The house and pool were better in reality than as described . The detail, attention & pride the owners have in their property is clearly evident. This is a well equipped and well looked after house & pool. The air con is fantastic after a hot day.Communications with Ken were straightforward throughout the process. Thank you Ken & your lovely wife for all your help. The on-site team of Julie, her lovely mum & Patrick the pool man were super to deal with & very kind to us. We would highly recommend this charming property & excellent location!
