Sylvie the host kept us well informed and standard information was sent so we knew exactly what to expect when we arrived. The Property is exactly as you would expect if not better and is modern, clean and has everything you could need. It feels fresh airy and cool, I have no idea why other reviews say it's cold it really isn't. Beds are comfortable but I would say take an extra pillow if you are used to sleeping with more as it's a traditional square pillow on the bed. The advice to reverse into the property was taken and we would recommend this too. The Beach, Boulangerie and Pizzeria are all on the doorstep and are fantastic and made our holiday even more enjoyable. Thanks again Sylvie for your hospitality we had a fantastic time.

We had a lovely stay the house was lovely , it’s in a great location and parking is great , recommend backing the car in, there is a bakery and pizzeria and local shop just at the top off the street , there is no wi fi if you are taking a teenager didn’t bother us but did the teenager, we will definitely booking again , thank you

The house was immaculate, I’d say recently renovated for style - not comfort. The house was cold, tiled floors downstairs, wood upstairs. There were no rugs, heating was electric radiators. There was one sectional sofa, seating no more than three people. The beds were okay (not made up for us) but the bedding was not pleasant. Above all there was no Wi-Fi, in this day and age! Didn’t even occur us to check, we have never stayed anywhere with no Wi-Fi before, in twenty years. Lastly the TV was of no use to us, programmes of any interest were encrypted.

Well located, pleasant house near the Donville beach and Granville old city and port

We had a great time in Donville. The house was clean and comfortable, and well decorated and equipped. Its location is very convenient since it is close to Granville's main attractions, to the Donville beach, and to boulangeries and grocery stores in Donville. We stayed 4 days and used it at a base to visit the Christian Dior Museum, the plat gousset, the Chausey islands, the bay of the Mont St-Michel (on an old schooner called the Marite), etc.. Our hosts were easy to contact to arrange arrival and departure times, and to answer any questions.

We spent a fabulous week relaxing and getting to know Donville and the area. A great beach, lovely bike rides and lots to do. The weather was mostly (!) gorgeous too!

Très jolie maison, spacieuse (nous étions 4). Bord de plage assez proche, commerces (nombreux fermés pour travaux sur cette période (préparation à l'été ?)) Rue principale en travaux (dommage) bref, rien de bien méchant. Le principal était : Soleil, mer, balades, repos.

Logement tout équipé, super propre, très bien situé. Il y a un supermarché, boulangerie, boucherie et pharmacie à proximité. L'accès plage le plus proche est bien par la route, mais à pied, il faut grimper... La propriétaire est aussi très gentille.

Maison propre fonctionnelle et bien équipée pour une semaine en famille. Environnement urbain immeubles et route principale à proximité, mais en même temps proche de la plage et bien placée pour explorer les environs. Un peu en retard sur les standards coté connexion (pas de wifi et réseau SFR inexistant!) nous aimons bien écouter notre musique en vacances. Nous recommandons.

Kleines schönes Haus mit Bäckerei und Pizzeria gleich nebenan. Zum Strand ist es nur ein kurzer Fußweg. Wir haben die eine Woche zu viert hier sehr genossen. Begrüßung und Verabschiedung waren herzlich und unproblematisch.

Das Haus entspricht vollkommen den Bildern. Wir waren zwei Erwachsene. Wir haben das Kinderzimmer als Ankleidezimmer genutzt. Das Haus ist perfekt für zwei Erwachsene und zwei Kinder. Die Küche ist super. Alles was man braucht ist vorhanden. ALLES. Platz mehr als genug. Alles sehr sauber. Viel Geschirr, Gläser und sonstiges vorhanden. Badezimmer ebenfalls sehr geräumig. Genug Möglichkeiten seine Sachen aufzuhängen. Wohnzimmer und Esszimmer ausreichend groß und gemütlich. Leider kein Wlan. Schlafzimmer klein aber fein. Man kann alles super lüften. Steile Treppe ins Obergeschoss zu den Schlafzimmern. Alles sehr sauber. Terrasse sehr gemütlich. Großer Tisch und viele Stühle. Liegen und Wäscheständer. Und vieles mehr. Alles in der Garage/Abstellraum untergebracht. Diese ist auch sehr praktisch. Auto kann auf das Grundstück gefahren werden. Jedoch sehr steile Einfahrt. Am besten rückwärts zu befahren. Das ganze Grundstück ist sehr gepflegt. Lage: Bäcker und Metzger in 1 Minute zu Fuß erreichbar. Rundum ein super Urlaubsdomizil. Sylvie sehr nett. Netter Empfang und tolle Kommunikation per E-Mail. Leider haben wir uns nur einmal bei der Ankunft gesehen. Liebe Sylvie, wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Michaela & Markus Engels

Schönes Haus als idealer Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge in der Normandie

Das Haus war gut und gemütlich ausgestattet. Die Lage war sehr gut, da die Geschäfte wie z.B.die Bäckerei , der Metzger oder auch das Tourismusbüro in wenigen Minuten erreichbar waren und trotz der Zentrumsnähe das Haus sehr ruhig gelegen war. Der Supermarkt und auch der Strand waren in nur 10 Minuten zu Fuß erreichbar. Von Donville-les-Bains aus kann man sehr gut Ausflüge nach Granville, verschiedene Badeorte, nach Coutances, St.Lo, Avranches und den Mont-Saint-Michel oder auch weiter entfernte Städte unternehmen. Von Granville aus fahren Boote nach Jersey, Guernsey und zur Inselgruppe Iles Chausey. Einziger Nachteil war, dass wir im Haus kein WLan oder Internet hatten, so dass wir für 30 Minuten im Tourismusbüro WLan freischalten lassen mussten. Dies scheint aber auch in anderen Häusern in der Normandie und der Bretagne so zu sein, wie wir von einigen anderen Reisenden erfahren haben. In manchen Restaurants ist freies WLan verfügbar. Trotzdem würden wir das Haus wieder mieten.
