About this farm stay rental

Near Alès (18 km). You can relax in our farmhouse of the thirteenth century completely renovated by us. (We are blacksmiths of art). Natural pool with two pools. One for plants and one for swimming (about 60 m3); you will enjoy an entirely natural swimming pool, in the heart of the Galeizon valley (classified Natura 2000 and Biosphère). You will appreciate the place for its calm, the beauty of the place, the isolation, the nature and the river. Perfect for couples, and families. Tranquility assured, the farmhouse is located on a track 1km from the paved road and 5 minutes walk from the river ...
You will find a cevenol mas in shale stones of the thirteenth century and a totally atypical interior, ... ironwork of art we wanted to make this place beautiful and functional! we hope you enjoy our house; we did all the interior work ourselves, and arranged the exteriors. The accommodation is fully equipped and ready to welcome you, you will also have a connected tv, Canalsat and Netflix. Our property covers 12 hectares. Outside you will find tables and chairs to rest, have a breakfast or a dinner (barbecue available) ...
You will have access to a large kitchen (with a piano cooking) open to the living room (55 m²) with upstairs a large master bedroom (room 25m ²), 1 bed 160x200 on mezzanine glazed (view of the kitchen) and a bathroom of 10 m² (glazed Italian shower with hydromassage shower column). By taking an external footbridge you will reach a second room having a bath island and a toilet (room 15m ²), 1 bed 160x200. On the other side (on the landing giving side kitchen) you will find a third room with 1 bed 160x200 (room 10m ²). 1 sofa bed 140 x200 in the living room..Outside, 12 hectares surround the Mas. In front of the house, table, chairs, parasol and barbecue are available as well as deckchairs and hammock. No neighbors around. Surrounding nature very lush and river less than 5 minutes walk!

    Peaceful retreat
    Peaceful retreat
Located in the hills above Ales, the accommodation nonetheless provides pretty much all the modern conveniences (no highspeed internet, of course), complete with swimming pool and a river swimming hole 10 mins down a track. Quite remarkable really given the isolated location. Pros and Cons: Cons: The final private road leading to the address is unsealed and might be a challenge to low suspension cars - our Touran was fine. Just take your time. Aircon is great in the downstairs living area, but it is warmer upstairs and the other separate rooms are non-airconditioned. Opening the windows in the morning and closing these when the air gets hot, combined with the stone building keeps the rooms reasonable - it will just depend on how hot it is. I slept on the top of the bed, my wife under the sheets - so its all about personal tolerance ultimately. Pros: This list would be longer if I had more time to type! Gaelle was easy to deal with, and always responsive during the week. It was a pleasure to meet them and their daughter - a prospective gourmand in fact with a top restaurant tip for dinner in Ales! Seriously good food. The house is visually stunning, both externally with its charming country style, but also inside with the numerous artistic iron work features. It was also spotlessly clean on arrival, which frankly has not been our experience in any other summer home we have visited; reflecting the pride they take in the house I am sure. The pool is amazing to look at and with the heat lovely to have available. Actually, we probably did not use this as much as some families would, as we enjoyed the daily trek to the swimming hole at the river. Last but not least, isolation – This is after all why you would choose such a house right, and it does not disappoint. You might very occasionally hear some people in the valley below at the river during the weekends, but otherwise it’s just you and the cicadas. All this, but with air con, internet, netflixs and a pool! Overall: We were sad to leave, and would certainly recommend to others
