About this cottage rental

In the most beautiful part of the Tarn Gorges, our house is located on top of the typical village Malene. This detached house, adjoining the house of family holidays, will welcome you for a stay relaxing and discovering the region. Ideally located in a nature preserve, guests can enjoy many activities: starting point of the "Descent of the Tarn Gorges boat with the Bateliers de la Malene," or in a canoe, numerous hiking, swimming, fishing, mountain biking ...
You will also visit many remarkable natural sites, such as Dargilan Cave, Aven Armand, the Bramabiau abyss, the chaos of Montpellier le Vieux and the famous plateau of Larzac, the extraordinary Millau Viaduct is within 45 Kms .

In the village, you will have at your disposal various shops: Bakery, butcher, grocery store, bar-restaurants, pizzeria and benefit from animations during the summer season.

Such a lovely welcome from the owners and such warmth and kindness. The cottage is perfect for a couple - very private with a lovely private garden too. Very comfortable bed and we were offered home grown tomatoes and truffle butter. Beautiful little town too with a local shop, bars and restaurants. If you like wonderful scenery along with local river swimming with a low key and friendly vibe - this is for you. We thoroughly recommend it. We would Like to return.

Sadly our stay in La Malene was a bit of a disappointment. The weather was not very good so we left early as the appartment was small and not the most comfortable. It was, however, in a great location for exploring the area and, had the weather been better, we could have taken advantage of the outside space and the lack of space inside would not have mattered. Our hosts were delightful and La Malene is a lovely village.

Nice clean gite in a very quiet village in the depths of the gorges du Tarn. Nice little kitchen with plenty of crockery/cutlery and pans. Towels and bed linen not included so do remember to bring your own. Good local amenities within easy walking distance. Lots to do and see in the area but you do need a vehicle.We certainly recommend canoeing/kayaking down the Tarn.

La Malene is right in the heart of the Gorge du Tarn, with the accommodation away from the main route along the Gorge. It is peaceful, beautiful and totally relaxing. Facilities are simple and sufficient and in character to the nature of the village. One feels welcome from the start. Touring, walking, and river activities are all readily accessible.

Le gîte est confortable, très bien équipé. Petit jardin privé avec terrasse et possibilité de barbecue. Inclus dans un complexe de vieilles constructions traditionnelles. Le village de LA MALENE est très pittoresque et bien situé au cœur des gorges du Tarn. Base idéale pour les randonneurs souhaitant découvrir les gorges (du Tarn et de LA JONTE) et les Causses (Méjean et de Sauveterre). Situation idéale pour une descente du Tarn avec un batelier ou en canoé. Très bon contacts avec les propriétaires, très disponibles et sympathiques. Je recommande cet hébergement. ce gîte très rustique est bien situé dans une magnifique région. les animaux sont acceptés mais la présence très proche des chiennes des propriétaires et potentiellement en chaleur lors de votre séjour pourrait fortement « déranger » votre chien, ce qui fût notre cas...

En una situación privilegiada para descubrir la zona de Les Gorgues du Tarn. Casita muy agradable, con jardin y barbacoa. Todo lo que necesitas para pasar unos buenos dias. Bien equipada la cocina y con calefacción. Aunque está en el centro del pueblo solo escuchareis el canto de los pájaros. Los anfitriones són correctos, agradables, educados, próximos y conocedores del lugar. En fin, muy recomendable.

location située à 5 mn de la rivière du Tarn (idéal pour se rafraichir et faire une promenade le long du Tarn) et point central pour visiter le Causse Sauveterre , Causse Méjean ,les petites villages environnants , descente le long du Tarn ,) location bien ombragée et quand il fait très chaud , c'est appréciable aussi bien pour dormir que profiter du jardin en fin de journée après une randonnée . Propriétaires très agréables , village avec tout ce qui est nécessaire (boulangerie/alimentation - boucherie charcuterie)

Nous sommes enchantés de notre séjour à La truffière. Tout d'abord le village de La Malène est très beau et fort bien situé. Il y a des commerces qui permettent de s'approvisionner tous les jours à 2 pas de la maison.Nous avons pu rayonner tout autour pour randonner et découvrir un département superbe et préservé , ( les gorges du Tarn et de la Jonte , le Cause Méjean, le Causse noir, le Causse de Sauveterre...)Et enfin le gite est très agréable, fonctionnel. Petit mais à deux largement suffisant et bien équipé. Un grand merci aux propriétaires de nous avoir si bien accueillis dans leur jolie propriété.
