Small room, but AC was great!

Air conditioner was great! (That's actually the reason I booked this hotel)

Breakfast was disappointing. No cheese on one of my two mornings there. Also, extremely crowded early in the morning. There was a pretty long line! The room was very small.

Decent and much cheaper than Geneva

Nothing fancy but decent hotel within easy reach of Geneva but at about 1/3 the price of Geneva hotels. Room was clean and had the basics, incl kettle, for an overnight stay. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Easy walk to train station and to tram into Geneva.

Worst experience in Oskar hotel

The location was on a closed street due to roadworks. It blocked any reception on your phone. You couldn't send or receive messages or calls for at least 500m around the hotel. The male host that checked us in was rude, he made it clear that he didn't have to be there waiting for us until 10pm, his shift finished at 9 30. The bed sheets smelled like if they were damp and dried inside. The location was around a very busy partying street with rubbish and drunk people everywhere.

Maybe a nice place once they get the construction work completed, but for now best avoided

At the time of writing, June 2025, the hotel is a construction site, inside a construction site, there isn't much to like about this hotel at the moment. Until the work is done, best avoided. Check before you book that the construction work is complete..

At the time of writing, June 2025, almost everything is wrong with the hotel. Even a fire-alarm going off in the morning. In 25 years of going hotels, I cant remember a single instance. No hot breakfast. No juices. Just some chemical "tutti frutti". Demolition dust absolutely everywhere. Best avoided until construction is completed.

Excellent hotel choice not only for city break but also for a holiday!

Everything was ok: room was spacious enough and very clean, quite varied breakfast with very good coffee, very good Wi-Fi, daily cleaning of rooms. Short walk to reach train station or tram with connection to Genève. The town is nice, quiet and you can find everything there: good restaurants, good shopping places and also can make trips to France or Switzerland by train as Annemasse is a quite a big train station. As our flight was early morning we arrived at the hotel at 10:00 and we could check-in immediately because we agreed in advance with the hotel receptionist to prepare for us the rooms against a fee that we considered fair.

The only problem was the lack of a second towel as well as a support (hanger) outside the bathroom to dry the towels. But finally we could manage because they were changed daily.

Close to switzerland and cute clean room, also spacious balcony. There was a good coffe shop Columbus close to the hotel, its very very good.

The receptionist asked us to pay the tax again, even though it was already paid. There was no parking, you can find it in the city and in front of the hotel if you have the luck.

Great staff conveniently located near train

Best staff anywhere the rooms are okay it’s good value for money to go to Geneva ! Especially Sonia and Johan and Lorain are extremely helpful and friendly! The hotel in annamesse is very convenient to travel between France and Switzerland!

The floor for the shower room is made of marble, very slippery floor. Very dangerous for senior citizens. Room is very small. Hotel is very far from the Annemasse train station. Gave to drag our heavy luggage over a long distance.

I stay regularly at the Oscar hotel when traveling to Geneva for work. It is good value for money, clean, tastefully furnished and well located. The wifi works and the staff is helpful. I was always happy staying at the Oscar hotel, except the last two times which is the reason for my rating.

The last two times I stayed at the hotel, there was a lot of noise in the hallway and staircase until quite late. The rooms that I stayed in were at both occasions next to the staircase, so maybe that was a reason. Clearly the rooms are not soundproof.

Good

We had problems due to our air conditioning was broken, the receptionist girl (blonde, i couldn't remember her name but i guess it was christian, not sure), helped us a lot by giving extra blanket and changed our room one day after. the cleaning of room and hotel was quite well and enough. Even the whitewash had just been done. Thanks for everything, we will visit again if we travel to Geneve again.
