The Whale of a View Cottage is nestled in the woods sitting directly above the Passamaquoddy Bay. Located on Campobello Island, home of Franklin Delano Roosevelt's Summer home and International Park, the cottage offers spectacular and close-up views of whales, eagles, seals, porpoises, ospreys and other wildlife from the house or the beautiful screened in Gazebo atop a cliff overlooking the water. Enjoy sunbathing and the beautiful sunsets on the deck attached to the Gazebo. Watch sailboats, fishing and cargo ships pass right outside your window. It is a special and private retreat. The cottage is within walking distance of the most photographed lighthouse in New Brunswick and connected by bridge to the US mainland at Lubec, Maine 04652 Head Harbor Wharf is within walking distance for Whale Watch and fishing trips as well as to watch the local fisherman at work. This cute house is fully furnished as a vacation home.

The Bay of Fundy is a marine paradise because the waters of the bay are important feeding grounds for many whales, dolphins, porpoises, seals and sea birds. Watch humpbacksâ the clowns of the sea frolic and breech, marvel at the huge finbacks, and meet the friendly minke (pronounced "ming key" whales. If you are lucky, you might even spot the Atlantic White Sided Dolphins or the rare North Atlantic right whale (one of the rarest in the world). YOU CAN ALSO SEE THE WHALES PASS BY THE COTTAGES OFTEN AS THEY FEED RIGHT IN FRONT OF THE COTTAGES. YOU CAN WATCH THEM FROM THE PRIVACY OF YOUR OWN COTTAGE!!

Campobello Island is connected by bridge to Lubec, Maine, home of the renowned candy-striped West Quioddy Head Lighthouse, on the easternmost point of the United States. Ferry connects Campobello Island to Deer Island, Grand Manans, St Andrews - a world-class Canadian resort. It sports a deck across the back and along the side of the cabin with a beautiful ocean view. Enjoy dining outside and watching the marine and bird life on the deck. This cabin has a living room/dining room/kitchen combination and a bedroom with a full size bed and a bath room. Also the screened in Gazebo is a great place to sleep.

The master had an ocean view, the second bedroom had a window, but smaller and higher up. Large master, nice bed, door to the deck.

Everything was exactly as advertised. Location and cabin are excellent. We saw bald eagles and porpoise from the deck. We did a whale watch and saw 3 humpback whales. My only suggestion would be a larger tv in the living room

If you want peace and quiet, along with an over the top spectacular view, this is the perfect place! So enjoyable to sit back and watch the tide move in and out, observe eagles and gulls and keep an eye out for porpoises, whales, and otters. The cottage is comfortable, and full of interesting collectables, art and books about the region. Dennis was a fantastic host - very helpful and responsive to any question or need. It was such an enjoyable stay - I can't wait to get back!

This is our second summer staying at Dennis’s property and certainly won’t be our last! The view can’t be beat, we spent most of our days sitting on the decks on the lookout for whales. Dennis was the perfect host and everything we needed was available.
