About this house rental
La Roca del Castell opens its doors to those who want to spend a few days discovering the charm of rural life and taste the good oil, wine and delicious tranquility in Cervià de les Garrigues.
The house is part of the remains of a castle with thick walls. It is built of stone and in several places we took advantage of the natural rock, which gives a lot of charm. Ideal for a romantic weekend.

We spent a wonderful week here in August. Anna and her husband are only round the corner, on-hand to answer any queries. The whole house is built into the thick walls of an old castle and can be kept cool by the air-con in the top room trickling the cold air down through the rest of the house. There are two amazing roof terraces (one with an olive tree growing on it). The village pool is amazing ... clean with lush grass and plenty of shade. There is an awesome restaurant literally around the corner. Equally, we were in Tarragona in less than an hour where we were spoilt for choice in outdoor eateries and great beaches. Catalonia ... we love it.

Lovely property in a very rural village, the pictures do not do it justice - it's stunning!
The sun terraces were perfect too. Equipped with everything you need.
The village itself is very rural and very traditional Spanish, a couple of small shops which are open at limited times.
The nearest supermarket was about a 20/30 minute drive away.
We used the village swimming pool a few times which was lovely.
Perfect for exploring though so I'd suggest getting a car.
We loved it here and are definitely relaxed and chilled, a perfect chilled out week :)
