'Carqueiranne, in the Gulf of Giens, saw its destiny as a small fishing port gradually replaced by that of a seaside resort. It is indeed a charming town where tourists flock every year who wish to take advantage of its sparkling waters and its fragrant hills. Carqueiranne is sheltered to the north by hills which allow it to benefit from a micro-climate from which it knows how to take advantage. Even before tourists were won over by the sweetness of the place, the flowers were there to their liking, and the town is now famous for its tulip fields.
