About this house rental

The house completely renovated, is located at the entrance of the village in a quiet area. It consists of an entrance, a 20sqm living room (with sofa bed for 2 people, a dining table, a fireplace), a 12sqm room with a double bed, a bathroom with shower, a toilet, a fully equipped kitchen and closets. The house has a large garden where you can relax, have lunch with a view of the mountains or make a BBQ enjoying the sunset. It is less than a hundred meters from the Casino supermarket, and 700m from the village center. You can get there on foot to enjoy its lively, stroll through shopping streets, discovering its historic center or relax at the edge of the Verdon. If you are fans of hiking and biking, the departure of the GR is 150 meters. Enjoy Castellane with 2 lakes, its watersports with pedal boats and kayaks, its activities rafting, mountain biking, walking, hiking, paragliding (in St Andre the Alps or the Roque Esclapon) and play golf at the Domaine de Taulane that is 20 km by car. And of course, you can enjoy the must visit the Grand Canyon du Verdon, vultures Rougon and Lake Allos. In terms of nightlife you can enjoy the disco (located 2km housing), bars and musical entertainment ...

The property was as it was in the photos..! With some extras not shown in them as a nice surprise (garden furniture and large BBQ). The hosts were lovely people and came and checked a few times that everything thing was OK. The house was quite cool even without having air conditioning as the window blinds and canopy kept the heat of the day (30C +) out of the house. Kitchen is well supplied with all the equipment we needed. Would stay again..!

Great location in a quiet cul de sac on the outskirts of Castellane. Easy 10 minute walk to town & just a few minutes walk to the supermarket. The house has eveything you need for a very enjoyable stay. Philippe the owner is very helpful & knowledgeable about the area too

Lovely house, wonderful town

We have been to Castellane several times before. This is a lovely town surrounded by hills/mountains, perfect for touring the Gorge of Verdon. I think not too many people know of this spectacular gorge, but it really is astounding. Castellane has several businesses that specialise in rafting trips down the Verdon river - a really exciting white water trip! There are many other places to visit, including the Castillon lake, just a short drive outside Castellane - we spent many hours basking in the sun and swimming in the lovely turquoise water (no charge to access this relaxing area). Phillipe and Francoise were very welcoming, and the house was very clean with all one would need, including a barbecue area on the patio. We took our dog, and the garden was spacious and secure. Non-dog-owners and non-smokers please note that there was no evidence of dog or smoking smells at all in this stylish house. There is WiFi available in the house. We could park right outside the gate, and a walk to town is an easy10-15 minutes. Castellane has many outside cafes, on the town square or shaded back streets. The outstanding feature is the lovely Dame du Roc chapel that oversees the town - a dramatic illuminated site at night. This is a gruelling walk to get up to, but the view high over the town is well worth the effort! We thoroughly recommend this place… many thanks Francoise & Phillipe!

Wir haben eine Woche in dem Ferienhaus verbracht und uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Alles ist vorhanden , wir haben sogar Handtücher und Bettwäsche vorgefunden. Die Umgebung ist ruhig, ein Supermarkt ist direkt vor der Tür und die Nachbarn sind auch sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen in die Verdon Schlucht kann ich das Haus nur empfehlen. Wir hatten unseren Hund dabei. Der Garten ist komplett eingezäunt was natürlich sehr praktisch ist. Am Tag der Anreise hat uns der Vermieter sehr freundlich empfangen. Es gab wirklich nichts auszusetzen. Wir hatten uns übrigens die App runter geladen. Auf einer Karte kann man die Lage des Hauses in Castellane sehr gut erkennen. Es wurde hier öfter bemängelt dass man keine Adresse mitgeteilt bekommt. Da das Haus in einer kleinen Sackgasse liegt, die Straße quasi keinen Namen hat ist die Mitteilung der Adresse natürlich nicht wirklich möglich. Aber wie gesagt mit der App war das kein Problem. Wir haben den Vermieter auch angerufen und wurden prompt zurück gerufen.

Das Haus war angenehm, sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet, der Vermieter sehr freundlich. Nie wieder werden wir über FeWo-direkt/Home Away buchen. Unglaublich schlechter Kundenservice. Scheinbar ist bei dieser Agentur niemand in der Lage, dem Gast die Adresse der Ferienwohnung in ausreichender Zeit vor der Abreise mitzuteilen. Ohne Handy-Telefonkontakt zum Vermieter geht da gar nichts.

Für zwei Personen großzügig, gut ausgestattet, schöner Balkon mit zerfledderter Markise, Vermieter haben wir nicht zu Gesicht bekommen, nur telefonischer Kontakt, der aber unkompliziert war. Tochter kam mal, um defektes WLAN neu zu starten, mit Begrüßungs-Rotwein. Supermarkt in der Nachbarschaft war sehr angenehm. Ruhige Lage.

Jolie petite maison bien située à castellane. Idéalement situé pour les amoureux de la nature. Maison relativement bien équipée et clôturée idéal pour notre compagnon à 4 pattes . Un léger bémol pour la literie et les oreillers qui pourraient être renouvelés et certaines prises de courant sortent du mur. Sinon la description correspond bien à la maison. Nous avons passé un agréable séjour.

Das Ferienhaus ist perfekt für 2 Personen welche einen erholsamen Urlaub in ruhiger Umgebung, aber dennoch ist das schöne Altstädtchen Castellane mit schönen Restaurants in kleinen Gassen zu Fuß in ca. 10 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Verdunschlucht, ein schöner Badesee sind mit dem Auto in 10 min. zu erreichen. Perfekte Lage. Phil macht alles möglich was gewünscht wird und unterstützt gerne bei Fragen. Wir haben noch nie eine Ferienwohnung in der alle vorhanden war was man benötigt. Sehr sauber und liebevoll eingerichtet. Danke an Phil für den super Urlaub bei Ihm!!!! Ralf

Location très sympa et près du centre ville ce qui est très agréable car pas besoin de la voiture...beau jardin grand et cloturé idéal pour les animaux!!Maison propre et bien configurée près des départs de randonnées.Nous avons apprécié cette location!!Quelques bémols en tout cas pour nous:deux transats seraient appréciés pour profiter pleinement du jardin,un lave linge plutôt qu'un lave vaisselle,une meilleur réception de la télé car parfois nous n'avions qu'une chaine(les voisins ont toutes les chaines)et les jours de pluie la télé est appréciable et la cerise sur le gàteau une commode ou un rangement pour les vêtements dans la chambre car il n'y a qu'une chaise pas pratique!!! sinon belle location à conseiller car bien située et propriétaires très sympas..............j'ai oublié:région magnifique!!!!

Das Ferienhaus ist wie beschrieben eingerichtet. Es ist alles notwenige vorhanden. Die Vermieter sind unkompliziert und sehr nett. Die Lage ist zum Dorf mit guten 5 min Fussmarsch und direkt am Supermarkt optimal und sehr ruhig. Als wir dort waren ist es Nachts schon wirklich kühl geworden und die Heizung hat nicht funktioniert. Dafür gab es einen Kamin und die Vermieter haben uns noch Elektroöfen zur Verfügung gestellt. Wer Mountainbiken möchte hat mit Phil, dem Vermieter, einen echten Spezialisten um sich Tipps zu holen.

Wir haben uns in diesem schönen Haus mit Garten in Castellane sehr wohl gefühlt. Dieses Haus war ideal als Startpunkt für die Erkundung der wunderschönen Umgebung und anschließender Erholung im Garten und auf der Terrasse. A very nice house, with everything you need for a relaxed vacation. The description and photo's give the right impression of the house. It is located in a quiet nabourhood, but also close to a supermarket for your daily shopping and just a few minutes walk from the centre of Castellane. Close to the wonderful Gorges du Verdon. The owner makes you feel at home. We spent one week in the house and really enjoyed it.
