    Ocean Inn and Suites is in a perfect location on SSI. Easy walking access to many shops, restaurants, bars, parks, public beach access, and the pier! The only reason I didnt give 5-stars in all categories is because they were doing some renovations during our stay that limited parking, building access, and forced the pool to be closed. This information wasn't shared at time of booking which probably wouldn't have affected our choice, but would have been nice to know ahead of time. Still a very nice place to stay and our favorite on the island!

    We booked a vacation in ssi,prior to booking,I called them to make sure the pool was open. They assured me it would be. When we arrived the pool was closed, and construction was going on. We went to relax by the pool and unwind but instead we were greeted with a construction crew banging around and making a lot of noises and stirring up dust. Definitely not what we signed up for.very disappointed! They should have told me the pool was down and they were under construction and I would have booked elsewhere!

    Had difficulty getting anyone to answer the phone, but in person the staff was cordial and accommodating. Room had no blackout curtains, only very thin curtains so was woken up by sunlight very early. Room was extremely close to lobby and front desk, literally directly behind the desk with door facing lobby. Was noisy. Asked for a different room and was told they were completely booked which is understandable considering we booked last minute through a 3rd party. Room, sheets and towels were clean. Worked for us as a last minute place to stay, but if I had more time to plan, would stay somewhere else.
