A beautiful well equipped house and stunning gardens. Around the pool area we smelt the perfume from the mass of beautiful lavender all day and the only noise was the sound of crickets, bliss. Marie-Isabelle the host could not do enough to make our stay welcome, she is a joy and goes above and beyond. If you are looking for a place of outstanding beauty and a place to relax and chill and away from it all, this is it. Beautiful organic linen bedding also. Just five minutes in the car for your baguette in a morning, the village has a well-stocked little store. What more do you need .....

A simply stunning property in a quiet location, La Ferme dAraucanie played host to our annual family gathering for a few sublime weeks and was never found lacking. The property description was, if anything, understated, the attention to detail and stylish appointment provided accomodation that was a pleasure to be around and the quality of the facilities, all functional and well maintained ensured that we were settled and on holiday from the moment we were unpacked. Throughout our period there was regular but discreet attendance on the pool and the gardens leaving us just to enjoy and enjoy we did!The local villages provide every service from boulangerie to cafe/restaurants and just a little further afield historic towns such as Sarlat, Montignac and Hautefort are treasures to browse shop and explore.The star of this show however is however, the owner, whos passion for her role as custodian of of your holiday extends beyond the provision of the property, always on hand and receptive to our needs from the commencement of our booking to the end of our stay and it was this that made a great holiday, very special.
