About this house rental
Pleasant village house on a plot of 800 m2 with swimming pool heated in summer (9m x 4.20m) secure (tarpaulin with standards and small wooden barrier with its gate), 2 km from the citadel of Brouage (classified " One of the most beautiful villages in France "and" Village of stones and water "), 15 minutes from the great beaches of Oléron and the wild coast, 30 minutes from Royan and 20 minutes from Île Madame.
Calm environment with view on the marshes and the citadel of Brouage.
The house, which can accommodate 10 people, has a pleasant entrance, 4 large bedrooms upstairs and 1 bedroom on the ground floor, a spacious kitchen with utility room, a double living room, 2 shower rooms and 1 bathroom (bath + shower), 3 toilets including 1 separate on the ground floor.
Four bedrooms (including the ground floor) have a large bed (140x190), the fifth with 2 single beds (90x190). A travel cot is also available.
The kitchen is fully equipped (oven + microwave, dishwasher, washing machine in the back kitchen ........), it opens onto a terrace and the garden.
The living room of more than 30 m2 has a dining area and a lounge area with sofa, armchairs, television and DVD player. It also overlooks the terrace and the garden.
You can enjoy the gas plancha barbecue under its pretty arbor, play table tennis, rest on the deckchairs or relax in the swimming pool.
Wifi is available in the house.

We stayed with two families with kids. This fits well. Not an ideal floorplan. 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom on the first floor. 1 bedroom and 2 bathrooms on ground level.
We enjoyed our stay, mainly because of the good kitchen, great garden en pool area. Not so much because of the house itself.
The double beds are small and the mattresses can use an upgrade. It is relatively dark, during summer this brings coolness.
The house is located directly on a small sleepy street. The village itself isn't interesting, but within 10m drive, you have everything. 2 big supermarkets, kids beach etc. It is very well situated to reach the highlights of the area.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay since we spent 90% of our time outside playing and swimming. It's a relatively good house with all you need. Price/ Value is good I guess. The deposit is too high for a house like this.
