About this house rental
This charming Novasol vacation home is situated on a large, open nature ground by the Kattegat. From the house you have a great view over the water. On the large wooden terrace you can enjoy the sun during the day and light the barbecue in the evening. The beds are max. 1,90 cm long. The house on Sj. Odde is located all the way out on Gniben, a peninsula between the Kattegat and Sejerø Bay. The sea is only 50 m away here, where the sky is bathed in a special light. On the glacial headland of Odsherred you will feel like you are in a geopark. On it you will find along the Tumulus Road, with the barrows and burial mounds, witnesses of the Stone and Bronze Ages, the remains of a forest village in Ulkerup abandoned 300 years ago, the Hempel Glass Museum and in the Odsherred Museum the copy of the sun chariot found in the Trundholm Mose bog. You will also see the erratic boulder Lommesten and the castle Næsholm Borg, which stands on a small island in the lake Nygård Sø between Højby and Nykøbing Sj. On Odsherred there is also a nature school that lets you catch seafood, organizes butterfly safaris and expeditions into the forest, and invites you to troll and fox excursions. Hovvig Nature Reserve, a renaturalized wetland, is home to a rich bird life. Your children will also be thrilled by a visit to the Odsherred Fire Museum. Nearby, visit Sommerland Sjælland, galleries that are also typical of Odsherreds and Dragsholm Castle from the 13th century. Havnebyen is the only real fishing harbor with cutters and a small smokehouse. Even recreational fishermen always get something on the hook here. In Nykøbing Sjælland you can do good shopping and enjoy the coffee house life. Seal safaris also depart from the harbor in Rørvig. From Rørvig you can sail to Hundested, from here it is only an hour's drive to Copenhagen. Enjoy smoked fish here while your children catch crabs on the pier.
