El apartamento está bien ubicado, muy cómodo y súper lindo. Los aires acondicionados funcionan bien, al igual que el agua caliente. Me gustó que tienen lavadora secadora, un plus por si la estadía es de varios días. El apartamento queda frente a la playa y tienen neverita de icopor para llevar tus propios snaks. Además, hay turco, sauna, piscina y gimnasio, servicios a los que puedes acceder en el edificio sin costo adicional. Hay un Ara cerca, para la compra de víveres. El anfitrión es muy atento y está dispuesto a colaborarte en todo. 🤗

This is a two bedroom apartment in front of Marbella beach. It's ideally located if you want to go to that beach, all you have to do is cross the street to get there. The apartment is in the second floor and has great views of the beach, you can easily see the people there from your balcony. The Marbella beach is a run-of-the-mill family beach, with yellow sand and cloudy water, which is mostly frequented by locals. I don't think I saw/heard any foreigners there. Even on a Sunday it wasn't very loud (though we were there during the low season), and there was a dearth of annoying sales people/scammers. I enjoyed it. The apartment itself is very nice and was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The AC worked great, it had hot water, they included beach towels and the wi-fi worked well as well. It has a large balcony with a hammock, which I enjoyed greatly. The furnishing are stylish and comfortable. The main bedroom and the living room have glass doors to the balcony, so you get a great view of the sea as well as lots of light. It had a working kitchen and a washer and dryer - they even included laundry detergent. The building is secure and has a pool - which we didn't use, so I can't comment on. The security guards were very nice and friendly with us. I'd definitely stay here again (indeed, we wanted to but it was booked for our dates).

The main issue I had was with pre-payment and price. The price booking gave me was over $100K lower than what I ended up having to pay. The actual price included a fee for cleaning and for the building administration. I don't know if this is an issue with Booking or with the apartment owner not setting the pricing correctly. I had the same issue with another apartment in Cartagena in the same building (but with different fees) but nowhere else in more than a month traveling in Colombia. Still, it's a bummer to have to pay more than what I expected. The second issue is that the owner required payment after the reservation and before the stay. She did take credit cards, but the system she used didn't accept to of the major US bank credit cards I tried. She let it go, but the whole idea of making a reservation backed with a credit card through Booking is for both renter and owner to minimize complications and risk - otherwise, why use Booking at all? I should also note that during busy periods the security measures in the building can be annoying. Every person who goes into the building has to register and have their photo taken. This can take a long time. When we checked in, there was a family checking in ahead of us and they couldn't find their reservation. It took over half an hour for them to find it, while their baby was crying her lungs out - and we had to wait until they were done before being able to register. The guards were always very prompt opening the door for us - but other guests told us they had to wait a long time.
