You will be staying here in the heart of the Périgord Noir, or rather not far from the town of Sarlat, with plenty of medieval charm and a wonderful weekly market full of renowned products and produce from the Dordogne. Activities abound here: canoe and bike rentals, hiking, horseback riding, and for foodies, plenty of good restaurants along the Vézère, for example in Montignac or in Saint-Léon-sur-Vézère, which is officially one of the most beautiful villages in France. Visit Les Eyzies-de-Tayac with its national museum and the Font de Gaume cave, the Château de Losse and the beautiful Château de Hautefort. Also a must-see in this region is Roque Saint-Christophe, an impressive limestone rock known for its cave dwellings. Take advantage of the Dordogne River as well as the towns of La Roque-Gageac and Domme.
