We offer a beautiful and very quiet 5-room apartment of 120 sqm in an antique and completely restored house from the 17th century in the middle of the picturesque old part of Positano. From the spacious and very comfortable terrace you can enjoy breathtaking views of the ocean and the marvellous Amalfi coast. The apartment of a pianist lady with tasteful mediterranean tiles in all rooms is stylishly furnished and decorated and has a splendid grand piano which the owner of the apartment allows guests who know how to play the piano to do so taking adequate care of the instrument. One bedroom has a generous double bed, the second one is equipped with 2 beautiful and comfortable single beds. For a fifth person, an additional single bed is available, which can be put up in any of the rooms according to request. A wonderfully tiled bathroom including bathtub with shower and bidet, as an extra highlight a walled and tiled outdoor shower with washbasin on the terrace completely hidden from view and a completely equipped kitchen provide generously for all guests. Both living rooms are comfortably furnished, one includes the dining area with large dining table and a very nice fireplace.

The apartment was even larger and better than we expected, and the view was spectacular. We loved the history and beauty of the neighboring buildings, and the area itself was quiet and serene. The apartment has high vaulted ceilings, large rooms, and many beautiful old decorative details. Although there were lots of steps everywhere, we felt they kept us in shape with the effort.
The apartment is not far from the center of Positano. You can walk or take the local bus, and there are stores nearby. We especially enjoyed being in the older, quieter part of the town among local residents. Ristorante da Costantino is within an easy walk and a wonderful, owner occupied restaurant. While many told us that "Positano is so expensive," we found it to be quite affordable, especially dining out.
Maria Dolores was very helpful, accommodating and friendly. Although our bus from Sorrento was delayed, she waited patiently quite a long time for us to arrive. The minute we walked into the apartment and saw the view from the balcony, we began to make plans to stay there the 4th night. Dolores helped us make arrangements to transfer to Salerno a day later.
Emails and phone conversations with Janos were very helpful and informative. The confirming information from him was delayed because I neglected to provide all of the information about our arrival that you needed. Once I provided that information he quickly sent the final package of information. We were completely satisfied with his support. We have recommended the apartment to several others.

Two couples stayed here in September. The views are really amazing and the location is ideal. The person who met us at the apartment to give us keys, Maria Delores, was very helpful in suggesting places to eat, grocery stores and must see sights as well as explaining the quirks of the apartment. She was wonderful! Maria Delores referred us to a local guide, Marco, since my brother-in-law was looking for climbing trips. The apartment has an unusual layout in that you must go into the bathroom to get to the small bedroom and then through that bedroom to the large bedroom. You could also enter the large bedroom from the balcony, which is what we did. This was well explained to us before we went and we were fine with it. The living room and dining room were fine but we did not use them much as the balcony was amazing. We spent our mornings there with coffee or after dinner with wine just reveling at the view. The kitchen is small but had everything we needed. We ate most meals out. The one main drawback for us was that the small bedroom is not air-conditioned and we did not know this before we went. The weather was quite warm so air-conditioning is a must. We ended up moving the mattresses from the beds into the first living room. In addition to the sleeping arrangements being awkward for two couples the main drawback was the property manager, Janos. I would not rent from him again.
I first reserved this apartment through Janos on June 2. I sent him a PayPal deposit of 50% of our reservation cost along with our address in the states and copies of our passports. I received confirmation from Janos on June 4 with a promise to forward all the details of our reservation shortly. I did not hear from him again for over a month so I sent him an email on July 14 to request the final documents. Janos responded on July 16 and promised to send the documents to me within two weeks.I heard nothing again for another month so I sent an email on August 12- no response. I called on August 16- no response. On August 23 I contacted Homeaway security, explained our issues and asked for help.. After this call I received a call from Janos on the 23rd as well. Janos said he would send the documents in three days. On the 27th, after no word again I emailed Janos. Late that day I received all the in documents. The apartment is wonderful but the hassle of dealing with Janos was not worth it.

My wife and I stayed at this wonderful apartment for 5 nights. The apartment is in a good location for accessing the SITA bus to explore the Amalfi Coast and it is close to groceries, wine shops and restaurants. It is near the 'top' of Positano so you will have a lot of stairs down and/or up to reach the beach and the shops (or take the inter-Positano bus). The apartment was mostly as advertised - the only difference is there isn't a stand up shower, it is a bath tub with a hand-held showerhead (no shower curtain or door). The apartment was clean and as the pictures show. The terrace is nice with a beautiful view.
Check-in and check-out was seamless and Dolores was very accommodating with our plans/times. Communication with Janos (property manager in Berlin) could have been a little better. We did not get directions and check-in information until the day before we left after a number of calls.
Overall, a great place to stay and enjoy the Amalfi coast!

This is a very charming, spacious, convenient place to stay. It accomodated our family of 5 perfectly. It has an amazing view. Shuttle transporatation down to the beach is not difficult. We walked down once. There are quite a few stairs to the apartment and everywhere in Positano so don't bring a lot of luggage - you don't need it anyway. The market is at the bottom of the stairs. Positano itself is absolutely gorgeous. We loved our visit there after being in Rome for 3 days.
