Bed with attached bath was so noisy, occupants could not sleep. Big Issue with WI-FI signal. None existent for our stay. Resulting in no TV. No way to communicate with owner. At least at a hotel someone would have fixed problem. 1st experience with VRBO not good at all.

The description never said it was upstairs, the outside stairs are not in the best shape. And the second bathroom is right off the kitchen, the pix made it see. Like both bathroom are in the bedrooms. This place isn’t for anyone that is older and have a hard time going upstairs. It was close to shops which nice.

What a great place! Close to the shops, restaurants and bars downtown Bardstown! Such a quaint little town!We had such a great weekend! Got to bottle our own Angels Envy and toured Michter’s, Willet’s and Buffalo Trace! Didn’t visit the Louisville Slugger Museum this time, but a great tour also!Highly recommend this place! It is on the second floorso if you cannot do steps, find someplace else.

Great location but old and has a smell that you eventually get used to. Back steps look like the metal platform is rusting away from the building and definitely sketchy. I wish the bathrooms had a shelf or something to keep items in other than the back of toilet. The bedroom that has the adjoining bath needs something done about the mattress that crackles every time you move. Also, recliner with peeling vinyl should be replaced. For the money, it was a good value and we were able to walk to many places. Not sure if I would rent this place again though

I would like to address several safety and condition concerns regarding this apartment. The staircase at the back of the property is approximately 90% detached from the building, with narrow and steep steps. The spindles on the stairs are repurposed staves and require maintenance. Inside, we observed four cradles intended to hold smoke detectors; however, none were present. When inquiring with the owners, they indicated uncertainty regarding the presence of smoke detectors, noting they thought they had installed some but would verify with the cleaner. Additionally, there are no carbon monoxide detectors installed. The pipes for the shower in the clawfoot tub are not secured; when I used support to exit, one of the pipes detached. Regarding disclosures, several issues were not mentioned in the listing. One of the bedrooms lacks a functioning ventilation system; a box fan was placed in the room, and with the fan running, the temperature reached 85F. The door to this room has no lock and does not fit properly, leaving a significant gap. The second bedroom also lacks a lock, and the bathroom within that bedroom has no door. The second bathroom does not have a functional lock. The kitchen features a small island with two fragile stools, making it difficult for a group of four to sit comfortably for conversation or meals. The photos show a television in one of the bedrooms; however, it has been removed, leaving only a mounting bracket behind. The interior has an unpleasant odor,

Perfect location and well kept property for our quick stay in Bardstown. Loved that the property was right in the heart of downtown…close driving to our distillery tours and walking distance for all our meals and shopping. Since there was a 2nd private bedroom and bath, we will consider returning with friends. Thanks!

The property is exactly as listed and very clean. We did have a slight hiccup getting to the back parking lot but after a quick loop around the block, we found it. It was conveniently located to everything in the downtown. I do wish there was an outdoor seating area, but we went to the park a block away and still had a great time. We would highly recommend this rental!

Overall we enjoyed our experience. We were attending the Kentucky Derby but did not want to spend our time in Louisville. It could have been my fault but I never saw any mention of the entrance to the property. My friend has MS and has some mobility issues. We did not get check in instructions until the day before and it was then that stairs were mentioned. Not only stairs, but exterior metal stairs. It was pouring when we arrived and there was no escape from the driving rain when trying to bring our heavy bags and hat boxes up the stairs. It made it so that we only left the house and came back once per day because the stairs were very hard on my friend. All the steps were rusty but the top landing was really rickety. When I put my suitcase and myself on the step, I felt very concerned. I had to drag my suitcase down one step at a time and it broke off a suitcase wheel. We had been told there was also an interior staircase but our door did not look in the hallway so we couldn't secure our room leaving that way. There are other units nearby and the noise was a problem as our neighbors were partying. The unit itself was cool...vintage feel. We liked the floors and the living room was cozy. One bathroom was in suite which I gave to my friend. I took the back bedroom so when I had to get up in the night, it was quite a distance but that was not a huge deal. The location was EXCELLENT...walking distance to so many cool things. We loved Bardstown itself.

Everyone loved this charming cute place. The brick touches around were amazing. The only drawback is the stairs so if those are hard for you this may not be the place. There is also no big table to play games but otherwise wise this place is amazing for a stay in Bardstown.

This was a great apartment for our group of four. We parked in the alley when we arrived, and never moved the vehicles until we checked out a few days later. This place was convenient to downtown—maybe a six minute walk from the apartment to the other side of town. The apartment was clean, and equipped with the necessary amenities. We had a great time.

Nice and loved the location but a few things should be addressed such as the safety of the outside porch and stairs going into the kitchen. Also the 2nd bathroom’s shower faucet was very difficult to turn.We had a difficult time figuring out which door to go to when we arrived but had help from a local neighbor.

The location of the property was fantastic and it was very easy to check in and out. The apartment was fine-nothing special and needs some TLC on some basic features: batteries didn’t work in TV remotes, only TV connection (Roku) was in bedroom with a do not unplug sign next to it so we couldn’t even watch TV in living room, sheets are not cotton so we were sweaty sleeping on them, and the mattress in one of the rooms was so soft it was uncomfortable. WiFi was off and on. Nothing major, but things that someone should take into consideration when booking.

The apartment is cute and clean. It’s an old building with character and charm. The details for entry were not listed on the directions (but not the owner’s fault, more of an Expedia issue). They came took care of us right away. We went out to dinner and saw a show at The Amp. The shop below is great and makes the apartment smell good! Was perfect for a quick overnight in Bardstown.

We were searching for a place to stay for a couple days while me and a buddy did some bourbon tours. This place was perfect. We were able to pretty much walk to everything, except the distilleries which were still less than a couple miles away. Beds were very comfortable and place was very clean. Perfect for two people. T.V. in one of the bedrooms was out of order though and batteries were dead in the remote for the living room T.V. but we managed get it working. Overall a good place and a great location. Would definitely stay again. Thank you

We enjoyed our stay very much. Beautiful apartment within walking distance to restaurants and shops. My husband commented on how clean it was. Many special touches-pancake mix, coffee, bottled water, shampoos, body wash, etc. We didn’t realize the couch had built in recliners until the last night-don’t miss those. We took our little Havanese and there were close places to walk her. The back steps and claw foot tub were a challenge for me with my knees. However there were a second shower that worked fine. There were also inside steps that opened to main road-my son just brought the car around and picked me up-so we managed just fine. The tv in the bedroom was not working but we really just wanted to watch together in living room. The remote apparently needs new batteries as well. I’m sure the host just didn’t know. We would definitely stay there again. Again, so very clean. We saw no one where we parked or around our entrances. We liked that privacy as well. We travel with our little dog often and want the floors to be hard services with few rugs. I don’t want her to have nasty floors but it has happened in nice hotels more than once. These floors were spotless which matters to me with her. It was a perfect little get away for us all. Thank you to the host!

Our Bourbon trail trip led us to Bardstown for one night. The location and Carriage View was perfect. We were able to walk everywhere we wanted to go. The place was also perfect, well maintained and the special touches made us feel welcome. Hope to visit again!
