Absolute gem in the quiet countryside of St Paul De Vence. The pool area is relaxing and all day in the sun - breakfast is also served there which is lovely (delicious bread, pastry and jam and other options too.) The staff is exceptional. They go above and beyond for you, very nice people to be around and to chat with. They have done a great job at decorating the room and the outdoor common area, especially the last one - it’s so relaxing to sit down and unwind having a drink or reading the book at the end of the day. The two cats are so sweet - Minnet (if that’s how you spell it) also let me stroke her! Would recommend everyone who wants to escape the busy everyday life and need some proper relax.
Wifi in my room wasn’t really working and I had to go to the common area everytime. A good way for a tech detox though…

Comfortable night in an eclectic environment
Towels and bed linens really plush, that along with good AC helped us have a great night’s sleep.
Our first impression was that we were going to a yard sale, via a path through low hanging trees. On the patio the management was cleaning a lot of stuff both upholstered (chair cushions, throw rugs) and hard goods (coffee pots, dishes, etc). One had to walk through this patio area to access accommodations. There was a musty/mildew odor which concerned us. The odor dissipated but there was a lot of clutter around during our entire stay. If you’re driving there be aware that access is through narrow and steep streets-bring a small car and be ready to maneuver it. This is not specific to Abeille but to Vence and also other hill towns in the south of France.

Exceptional place to stay near Vence, full of character and very friendly
This is exactly the kind of experience you will never get if you stay in a hotel - your own room with its own outside access in a quirky house just down the road from Vence (and not far from St Paul de Vence). The room was very comfortable and the bathroom excellent. The host was exceptionally friendly and helpful and always happy to chat - you are actually staying in her own home, after all. And we had a lovely breakfast. Nice, quiet, tucked-away location.
