Nothing

Your receptionist Sim went above and beyond to get us a taxi pickup at 4:30 in the morning. I did not have an Australian phone number for the taxi service to let us know it was on its way. Sim arranged to be the go between and notified us that the taxi was enroute. She would not take any payment and did it out of kindness of her heart. An employee that is willing to be doing this at 4 am is an employee that you should be proud of. Thank you Sim!

Liked everything

It's our favourite in Townsville.. always go there if it's available. Close to everything. Great food, pubs close by.. love walking on The Strand. Comfortable bed. Quiet. Secured parking is a bonus.

Wi-fi is a bit 'iffy' sometimes, but otherwise always a good experience staying there

Another great find on our road trip south. Located just behind the main beach front road, this was ideal ; close to the beach, the bars and restaurants but far enough away from the parade of muscle cars and bikes showing off on the seafront. The underground parking was secure and easy accessed. We received the warmest of welcomes from Sim on reception who furnished us with all we needed to know and answered all our questions. The room was very spacious, clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed for our stay. The building was quiet and the swimming pool a real bonus after five hours on the road. Overall, we had a very pleasant experience and I would recommend it.

There were a few minor points that prevented me from giving it a 10/10. Firstly, and this is personal taste, the bed though king size was very soft for my liking. Secondly, how ever we tried, I could not open the second set of patio doors to access the patio seating. And finally, whoever painted the doors to the rooms needs shooting!
