About this cabin rental
This VRBO offers a unique vacation for those you want to experience something different. This 3 bdrm 2 bath sits on our working family ranch. We want to share with you our piece of paradise.! You will experience peace and quiet in a tranquil setting with mountain views that are unbelievable. Did we mention sunsets? We have them too!! Imagine all of that and you are only 10 Minutes from the city of Montrose. The 3 bedroom 2 bath house is secluded and private. It has 1 king bed with master bath , 1 queen and 2 singles. The cabin has a fully equipped kitchen, satellite T.V. high speed internet, Large porch with B.B.Q grill as well as an outdoor gazebo . Sit on the front porch and enjoy your morning coffee , you won"t believe the views. In the spring the baby elk will be romping in the fields and the elk bulls will be growing their antlers. In the fall , listen to the sounds of elk bugling. Don't miss this awesome experience. We look forward to your visit because we know you will love it!!! .
Love to hike? We are 20 minutes from the Black Canyon National Monument
We are a little over an hour to Telluride and the drive is incredible but why pay the Telluride prices when you can tour the town for the day and come back to enjoy the starry nights on the ranch.
Summer activities : We are close to many golf courses , hiking, biking, fishing, river rafting and unique downtown shops .

A wonderful place! We had coffee watching the bison wander by, and walked down to see the elk every evening. The Labrador welcome committee was the best.Amazing stars at night! Super quiet.Was a great home base for the Black Canyon and other west slope sites.I've just returned home and have recommended it to friends.

The ranch creates a beautiful backdrop for photos. It was a unique experience to see and hear the elk. They are shy up close, but stand still and quietly at the fence and they will relax instead of moving away from you. We were fortunate to enjoy an elk that was as curious about us as we were of him. I enjoyed bird watching and spotted a fledgling learning to fly while it's mother kept watch nearby. It turned out the nest is tucked up under the back porch with nestlings. Be careful not to step on them going in and out of the back door. Also spotted a rabbit early one morning while watching the sun come up. The sunsets were so lovely over the pond. Location is very close to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park and the Museum of the Mountain West. The national park has such striking views. The museum contains so much tangible history. They do an amazing job bringing it to life. We stopped on a whim when we spotted the old- time historic buildings driving by. They have a massive collection. So glad we stopped to see everything up close. The attendants have a wealth of knowledge and are happy and eager to share it.We had a short but pleasant stay at the ranch. Overall, an enjoyable experience and so different from our city life. We are grateful to have had the opportunity to experience it.

We had stayed 3 nights in Ouray and 3 nights in Telluride. Thank goodness we only booked one night here before our plane flight to go back home. While the place itself seemed clean and in a scenic location, when we arrived we were immediately invaded with hundreds of houseflies. Our rental car filled up with them while we unloaded our luggage and every time we opened a door to the house, more would fly in. This was quite miserable. Will not be returning.
