About this chalet rental

Relax & enjoy panoramic mountain views in a custom designed chalet completed in 2016 just a mile from the west entrance to Glacier National Park. Modern appliances and full kitchen, granite countertops, Deck, patio, BBQ grill, wifi, satellite tv, 3 bedrooms.

The grandeur of Glacier National Park begins four miles north of this comfortable West Glacier vacation condo. A recently completed three-bedroom chalet with beautiful mountain views and all the modern home essentials, it invites your group of up to six for a spirited national park getaway.

Recently completed in 2016, this custom designed home gives you unbeatable access to Glacier National Park, a crown jewel of America`s national park system. Access to this park`s over one million acres of sprawling wildlands begins at the Apgar Visitor Center, which is just a short trip up the iconic Going-to-the-Sun Road. You`ll also find nearby fishing on the Flathead River, a variety of water sports at Lake Five, and countless hiking trails in the Flathead National Forest. While you’re staying at the chalet, you can take a quick walk to the West Glacier Nordic ski track, with more than 5k of groomed ski trail for skate and classic skiers to enjoy while surrounded by views of Glacier National Park.

Recharge from all of your active pursuits in this home`s inviting interior. The carpeted floors and luxurious couches of the living area create a cozy ambiance that`s perfect for rest and relaxation in between visits to the national park.

Flip on this room`s wall-mounted flatscreen to settle in with a favorite cable show, or head just beyond the room`s sliding glass doors to take in the stunning views of Strawberry Mountain from the outdoor patio.

Feast your eyes on the alpenglow of a western sunset painted across the mountains at dusk, or head upstairs for more sweeping views from the wraparound deck. The deck is also a favorite for all fresco dining, particularly for enjoying barbecues using the gas grill.

But, if you want to cook indoors, the chef in your group will certainly appreciate the kitchen`s stainless steel appliances, assorted cookware, and spacious granite countertops for quick and easy meal prep. Eat with your group at the six-seat table in the adjacent dining nook, with easy cleanup afterward, thanks to the dishwasher. And you won`t even have to miss the end of that football game thanks to the nearby wall-mounted flatscreen.

Later, explore any of the home`s surrounding 10 acres of private property, or walk across the street to book a whitewater rafting trip, a guided hike, or a horseback ride with Glacier Wilderness Guides. You could also catch up on some laundry with the washer/dryer, or connect to the WiFi for further adventure planning.

When your satisfying day comes to an end, retreat to any of three bedrooms for high-quality sleep. Up to six guests are accommodated on cushy beds in two rooms and a full bed in the third bedroom. Each bedroom is modestly furnished, allowing you to focus on getting a great night`s sleep, night after night. Note there are no mountain views from the bedrooms and just one bathroom upstairs. There is a utility sink and mirror in laundry room downstairs.

Start your new day with an invigorating soak in the full bathroom`s stone walk-in shower on the upstairs/main floor, then wake up with a fresh-brewed cup of coffee from the kitchen`s coffeemaker. Plan for another day of exciting outdoor activities, which might include a helicopter tour of the park or a guided fishing trip on the Flathead.

There is also golfing two-and-a-half miles north at Glacier View Golf Course, a natural history museum at the Crown of the Continent Discovery Center (under a half-mile north), and quaint country restaurants and western boutiques in Coram (about five miles south). For skiing and snowboarding, head 23 miles southwest to Whitefish Mountain Ski Resort.

1) Respect quiet hours between 9 pm and 8 am.
2) Please treat this like your home and keep floors, windows and counters clean throughout your stay.
3) No parties or events
4) Put nothing other than toilet paper in toilets...we have a very sensitive system that will backup if clogged.
5) No beer pong
6) No incense or candles please and thank you.
7) Parties or any event allowing more persons than those renting the house allowed only with written approval from homeowner and may come at an additional expense. No one outside of the people staying are allowed without prior approval, and no more than 2 vehicles allowed (unless specified). Sadly, several renters have used my house as a party place resulting in broken items, additional cleaning and outright disrespect. If you have plans for anyone else visiting, please inquire and provide details.

We stayed just one night but appreciated the proximity to Glacier and beautiful views from the deck. House was very clean and the directions and checkin were perfect. We were not able to sleep well on the upstairs bed because it was very noisy every time we moved, but other than that, we enjoyed it very much.
