Dunas do Alvor T2

The apartment is very spacious. The kitchen area is newly renovated with all new appliances, washing machine, dishwasher, oven, hob, microwave. So new that some polystyrene packing was still in the dishwasher. The bedrooms are quite big, one double, one twin. They face out to the pool and get the morning sun. The sofa bed in the living room is also comfortable. We had five adults in our group so all beds were used. There is a small balcony off the living room which faces the road and gets sun in the afternoon/evening. The pool area is very nice and well kept. The apartment is a short walk from the beach and also a short walk from town so location is perfect. There is a supermarket, Intermarché, just down the road. The TV has some English language news channels, CNN, Sky etc, also several other language channels. All in all a very nice apartment.

We had no communication at all with the host prior to our arrival and when we arrived at 6 in the evening the apartment wasn’t ready. It wasn’t a major inconvenience but it would have been nicer to have been able to relax straight away. We were able to leave our bags and go into town and when we returned it was cleaned and ready. Access is by a key box with a code. As the apartment is privately owned you do not have use of free cushions for the sunbeds or umbrellas but you can rent for a small fee. The complex looks a bit run down from the outside but is fine indoors.

There were some bars and restaurants close by but it was a descent walk to town / the beach , if you’re not great mobility wise a car is helpful

Good location, sunny balcony. Spacious apartment.

No cleaner came and no spare sheets for 3 weeks stay! Had to wash bed linen. Ant infestation around kitchen area. Issues with WiFi data. Small balcony suitable for 2 persons only. Shutters stiff and need maintenance.
