The house, which is now used as a guest house, was built in 1886 and used by the Deutsche Reichsbahn as a goods handling facility. Around the time of the turn of the year, however, the building was no longer used and stood empty. Now, more than 120 years after its construction, Rietschen's old freight station has finally found a new purpose: since 2011 the house has been owned by the Baudach family from Rietschen and has been completely renovated by them and made what it is now - a historical accommodation in a modern guise.

Die super freundlichen, interessanten und entspannten Gastgeber haben in dem historischen Bahnhof eine gemütliche und bestens ausgestattete Wohnung hergerichtet – viel Platz, auch auf dem Grundstück, schöner Ausblick, gut angebunden und als Ausgangspunkt für diverse Fahrradtouren ideal!
