The kitchen and living area are on the ground floor, and there is a bathroom and sleeping facilities for 2 - 3 people in the converted attic. An external staircase leads from here directly into the garden. In the living area we have a pull-out couch, where another 1-2 people can sleep as needed. For cooler evenings, stoves are available on both levels.
The terrace offers space to chill and grill. The closest neighbors are the cows on the adjacent meadow.

A high-speed internet connection with the possibility of a TV stream is available. You will also find a Blu-Ray player and various DVDs. If you love peace and nature, want a break from city life and want to explore the surroundings, our house is just right for you!

Overall this is a nice place. there is a really big garden which has potential to be excellent but seems overrun with nettles and weeds. The trees also could use some pruning. The inside is a bit dark but also cool compared to outside. So can be very pleasant after a day in the sun. The stair are very steep and not easy if you’re unsteady on your feet. There is everything you need for a nice stay just could do with a freshening up. I would say my biggest gripe is the bathroom. There is a shower head but no where to put it on the wall also there is no ceiling just some bamboo sticks rested on the walls. There doesn’t seem any reason to not have at least an electric shower fitted. Overall I enjoyed my stay here and really like the area but next time I’ll look somewhere else

Well, what a fabulous place! Full of character and French charm and in such a lovely rural location, not dissimilar to where we live…absolutely perfect. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and meeting Lesley and René next door too..thank you both for your hospitality…we will definitely be back!

Absolutely beautiful , just up our street! Full of character and charm, with little touches that made it feel so homely. Kitchen was very well equipped, bed was so comfortable, plenty of hot water at all times. Nellie ( the dog ) loved the garden, and we would walk around the lanes each afternoon much to the amusement of the neighbouring cows! Such a lovely location. Visited lots of places during our stay, St Malo, the Beaches, Mont St Michel, Dinan, and even the Chateau de la Motte Husson! A truly lovely French Break. Thank you Andrea, Paul and Nellie 🐕 xxx

A delightfully cute but rustic gite in beautiful countryside

The gite was everything we wished for and more. If you want to disappear from the stresses of everyday life then this is the place to stay. The gite was tastefully decorated with an old world charm and had a vintage feel about the place. The WiFi never let us down so we could sit in the delightful garden listening to music whilst drinking a glass of wine. Our little dog loved to explore the garden as well so she also enjoyed herself. There is plenty to see but be prepared to drive around if you want to explore the area or cycle if you’re more adventurous. There was no welcome pack on arrival so arrive with supplies but there are supermarkets in the area that stock everything, plus local bakeries in the area. The gite does not have a washing machine or freezer but we weren’t concerned about that. We would like to express our thanks to Rene and Lesley (our lovely neighbours/gite caretakers) for being so informative about the history of the gite and the area, plus offering us advice on where to visit. Their guidance was much appreciated.

Staying at this property was a wonderful experience. I would consider staying again and I have many fond memories of our vacation here. Correspondence with the owners was always swift and informative. The house itself is very pretty, cosy and peaceful. Well located. Great to spend time in the garden watching the cows in the neighbouring field. Nice to walk in the country lanes. With permission we brought our two dogs who very much loved the area and the experience of the French countryside. A vacation I will always remember with a smile.

Das Ferienhaus ist individuell und mit sehr viel Liebe zum Detail im französischen Landhausstil eingerichtet - alles andere als die Standard-08/15-Ikea-Ausstattung. Man merkt richtig, wie viel Herzblut und Mühe die Eigentümer in das Häuschen gesteckt haben. Auch der Garten ist wunderschön grün und lauschig. Auch für Hunde perfekt, da komplett umzäunt. Wir haben auch den Kaminofen im Unterschoss genutzt, der den Raum gut aufgewärmt hat. Wlan hat perfekt funktioniert. Die Kommunikation mit den Vermietern war total unkompliziert und angenehm. Vor dem Aufenthalt bekommt man ein sehr hilfreiches Handbuch mit allen wichtigen Infos zum Haus, sodass wirklich nichts schiefgehen kann. Alles in allem ein wunderbarer Urlaub!

Ein wunderbarer Ort! Das Haus ist genauso bezaubernd wie auf den Fotos und liebevoll eingerichtet. Es fehlt an nichts, besonders die Küche ist umfangreich bestückt. Wenn das Ofenfeuer brennt, gibt es nichts Gemütlicheres, als nach einem Ausflug in "La petite Claire" zu sitzen. Und obwohl wir im Oktober dort waren, konnten wir tagsüber sogar noch im großzügigen Garten in der Sonne sitzen!

Der Aufenthalt im la petite Claire war wirklich sehr schön! Der riesige Garten war für unseren Hund das Paradies und wir konnten ab der ersten Sekunde abschalten. Ob zum Einkaufen, Bäcker oder für Ausflüge, man ist auf das Auto angewiesen, was uns jedoch nicht gestört hat. Das Haus hat alles was man braucht und ist super ausgestattet! Wir haben unseren Urlaub sehr genossen und danken den Gastgebern für diese wunderschöne Unterkunft!

Das süße kleine Landhaus ist auf 2 Ebenen aufgeteilt. Unten das kombinierte Wohn- und Essbereich mit Küche. Im Dachboden ist das Schlafzimmer mit Bad. Man sollte sich vertraut sein, da das Bad nach oben hin offen ist... Ansonsten ist es sehr romantisch und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Die gesamte Normandie kann man von hier aus nicht bereisen, die Strecken ziehen sich teilweise, Aber Tagestouren und Stippvisiten sind schon möglich. Die Besitzer haben auf aufgekommene Fragen vor der Reise schnell geantwortet.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen erholsamen Urlaub in dem liebevoll renovierten normanischen Ferienhaus. Der große Garten und die Terrasse laden zur Entspannung ein. Das Ferienhaus ist mit allem ausgestattet wir haben nichts vermisst. Wer Erholung und französisches Landleben sucht ist hier richtig. Schon die tägliche freundliche Begrüßung beim Bäcker beim Kauf von Croissant und Baguette im nahen Nachbardorf war eine reine Freude.

Vom Anblick der Bilder bis zum Aufenthalt: sehr feines Domizil, sehr gut ausgestattet, Koffer auspacken und Erholung beginnt. Großer living room, einladende große Kochzeile, gemütliches Dachgeschoß und ein verwunschener Garten, den auch der Hund liebte. In direkter Nähe nichts Wesentliches, Auto oder Rad ein Muß. Aber perfekte Ruhe zum Ausspannen. Sehr nette Kommunikation mit den Eigentümern! Nebenbei: sauber und ein gutes Bett. Gerne wieder!

Wir (zwei Erwachsene, ein Hund) haben unsere Ferien in "La petite Claire" sehr genossen! Wer Ruhe und Entspannung sucht, ist hier genau richtig. Das Häuschen hält zu 100 Prozent, was die Beschreibung verspricht. Die Küche ist sehr gut ausgestattet, man findet alles, was man braucht. Das Bett ist sehr bequem. Es gibt einen Fernseher samt DVD-Spieler und reichlich DVD's, Spiele und Bücher für Schlechtwettertage. Sonst sitzt man wunderbar auf der Terrasse oder im Garten (den hat auch unsere Hundedame sehr geliebt). Die Nachbarn sind sehr nett. Und der Kontakt mit den Vermietern war super angenehm und unkompliziert. Also alles rundum gut, vielen Dank Andrea und Peter - wir werden bestimmt zu Wiederholungstätern!

Das kleine alte Häuschen in dem wildromantischem Garten ist sehr liebevoll und fachgerecht restauriert worden. Die geschmackvolle Einrichtung (teilweise mit Antiquitäten) verstärkt die gemütliche Athmosphäre. In der Küche fehlt es einem an "nichts". Das Bett hat eine sehr gute Matratze, wir haben darin hervorragend geschlafen. Die Deko passt hervorragend zum Einrichtungsstil und zum Haus. Am großen Tisch mit den bequemen Stühlen sitzt man gerne auch sehr lang. Gott sei Dank gibt es die bequeme Aussentreppe in den 1.Stock als Alternative zur steilen "Stiege" im inneren des Hauses. Dies ist für ältere Menschen unverzichtbar. Schön wäre es, in der Küche ein freies Fach für mitgebrachte oder eingekaufte Dinge wie Lebensmittel zu haben. An sonsten ist die Ausstattung im Hause sehr gut, es wurde wirklich an alles gedacht. Die Betreuung duch die Vermieter Andrea und Peter war hervorragend. Bei starkem Frost (wir hatten nachts minus 10 Grad) ist es im Schlafraum und Bad doch recht frisch und wir mussten kräftig den Ofen schüren. Es dauerte eine Weile, bis die Räume angenehm warm wurden (daher nur 4 Sterne, das Fehlen des fünften Sternes ist rein winterbedingt). Wahrscheinlich sind diese Aussentemperaturen dort doch recht ungewöhnlich. Aber im Sommer hat man wohl hiermit kein Problem. Wir haben alles sehr sauber vorgefunden. Schade, dass wir die kleine Terrasse im Winter nicht nutzen konnten. Schön war es, die vielen Vögel im Garten zu beobachten und zu füttern. Wer Ruhe und Erholung in der Natur sucht, wird sie dort finden. Wir jedenfalls haben uns dort "SAUWOHL" gefühlt und kommen gerne wieder !!!

Wenn man es im Urlaub ruhig haben möchte, wenn man Freude an einem alten Haus in naturnaher, ruhiger Umgebung hat, ist man hier genau richtig. Das Haus hält genau das ein, was das Foto auf der Internetseite zeigt und warum wir es ausgewählt hatten. Alles was man braucht ist sehr ordentlich, sauber und praxisgerecht vorhanden. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl und hat keine so großen Ideen auf große Erkundungsreisen in die schöne Umgebung. Trotzdem lohnt es sich, auch einmal die kleinen und größeren Orte der näheren Umgebung anzuschauen. Zum Einkaufen muß man sowieso losfahren, aber das macht auch Spaß und man kann zwischen div. Supermärkte aber auch Wochenmärkten in näheren Umgebung wählen. Unsere Vermieter hatten alles gut vorbereitet und standen mit Rat und Tat auch während unseres Aufenthalts zur Verfügung. Aus unserer Sicht werden wir das Haus mit ruhigem Gewissen an Freunde und Verwandte weiterempfehlen und hoffen, daß auch Andrea und Peter weiter viel Freude an ihrem "kleinen Schatz" in der Normandie haben. Wir haben uns sehr, sehr wohl gefühlt - vielen Dank!! Elke + Norbert

Häuschen zum Verlieben!

Vorneweg erst einmal ein großes Kompliment an die sehr nette und schnelle Kommunikation mit den Vermietern!!! Nun zu dem Haus: Wir waren bei der Anreise schon vor dem Tor sehr angetan von dem schnuckeligen Häuschen und unsere Erwartungen wurden auch dahinter 100% erfüllt: angefangen bei der sehr geschmackvollen Einrichtung und der umfangreichen Ausstattung, bis hin zu den duftenden Blumen im wunderschönen großen Garten und den reizenden Nachbarn. Keine Wünsche blieben offen. Wir verbrachten unseren Urlaub anschließend noch in zwei weiteren Ferienwohnungen in der Normandie und mussten immer wieder an die kleine Claire zurückdenken. So viel Charme und Liebe steckt nur in wenigen Ferienhäusern. Während der 9 Tage unseres Aufenhaltes in Le Mesnil-Tove blieben keine Wünsche offen. Naja, fast keine. Wäre der Strand noch zu Fuß zu erreichen gewesen, genauso wie ein Bäcker, wäre es noch perfekter gewesen, als es ohnehin schon war. Achja und WLAN sowie ein Fernseher während der Fußball-EM hätte uns auch gefallen. Aber man sollte die Kirche mal im Dorf lassen! Letztendlich wurden unsere Erwartungen übertroffen und wir verbrachten einen wunderbaren ersten Urlaub mit unserem kleinen Sohnemann in einer absolut empfehlenswerten Unterkunft.

Wir hatten einen herrlichen Urlaub in diesem schön gelegenen und sehr geschmackvoll eingerichteten schnuckeligen Ferienhaus. Wer einen einen gemütlichen Rückzugsort zum Entspannen sucht ist hier genau richtig. Couch, Kamin, Terrasse mit Sonne, gutes Bett, heiße Dusche voll ausgestattete Küche alles vorhanden und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben den Urlaub sehr genossen. Das Haus ist wunderschön. Altes Bauernhaus aus dem 17 Jhd. inkl. zweier Öfen zum heizen der beiden Etagen. Können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Wer auf's selber heizen verzichten, will sollte im Sommer hinfahren. Wir haben es da sehr genossen und die Einrichtung hat uns sehr gefallen!

Ganz ruhig gelegen, gute Möglichkeiten zum Radfahren, viele Orte in der Nähe, die ein Besuch wert sind! Kleine Bäckerei in der Nähe mit ganz tollen buttrigen und knusprigen Croissants! Super netter Kontakt mit den Vermietern, alles in allem hatten wir dort eine schöne Zeit!!
