This lovely home offers a large main house with a downstairs bedroom, and a private apartment over the attached garage. All linens, towels and pillows are provided. It has the best of both worlds on a private point of land that has open vistas and also a quiet creek to dock your boat. Deep water dock will accommodate a 52' yacht! Catch fresh fish and go crabbing, and two kayaks are available. The views are wide open and can be enjoyed from most (Website hidden by Airbnb) sparkling pool is adjacent to a large porch where you can watch the kids, have a crab feast, or just enjoy the expansive water views. Celebrate the end of a perfect day by viewing the sunsets.You may arrive by water, MLW depth is 4 1/2-6 feet/end of the dock. Will accommodate 40 ' sailboats.
Your family can enjoy boating, swimming, fishing, crabbing, bike riding, and beautiful walks from this 4.6 acre private property located on a panoramic point of land. If you want to explore, you can ride your bike to the 9 car/passenger Oxford/Bellevue Ferry (just minutes away), which will take you to the quaint, and beautiful village of Oxford where there are some great restaurants, a park, and performances at the Tred Avon Theater. Biking through the town and beyond is very scenic with very little traffic. The larger town of Easton, 20 min. away, offers art galleries, golf courses, fine and casual dining, lots of shops, movies, and live entertainment at the fully restored, historic, art deco Avalon Theater. The Chesapeake Maritime Museum, gourmet/casual dining, antiquing, boutique shops, and golf are available in the nearby Victorian village of St. Michaels. You can also pamper yourself there with a spa treatment and fine dining at 'The Inn at Perry Cabin...fronting on the Miles River. ALL of this is located just 1 1/2 hrs. from Washington or Baltimore. Boat charters are also available at area marinas.
The Oxford Bellevue Ferry is a few minutes walk which will deliver you to another charming town. You can access it by car, on foot, or your bike. Once there, you will love to bike ride around one of the most beautiful and quaint villages on the eastern shore. Must stop at the Scottish Creamery where you will find homemade ice cream in many flavors...a VERY popular stop for locals and tourists!

The house is very spacious yet also has a cottage like feel with so many fun treasures inside. We took our family there for the week over the 4th and did not regret it. The property is massive with so much space for young ones to run outside or adults to sit by the gorgeous water view. They have a large pool, kayaks, and crab traps with a private dock for a lot of day time activities. In the evening, there is a fire pit by the water that was fantastic to sit around and make s’mores. Tons of games inside of the house for family activities (pool table- we had a family pool tournament, and puzzles, and more). The rooms are spacious and very clean. The view of the water is unbeatable.And most importantly, the host was incredibly responsive to any and all requests. When we had a minor maintenance repair issue, they sent someone out right away to assist. Overall, highly recommend!

This was a perfect place for our group of friends who knew each other for 50 years. We could cook, go out to eat, enjoy walks, read, and have hours-long talks. We loved looking at all Penny’s collections—they were quite amazing! We only had two sunny days in our week, but the house was perfect for enjoying any kind of weather. Very spacious and homey.The beautiful piano was a bonus! (One note of caution: Before arriving I thought this place might work for my family get-together in the fall, but with my niece’s three rambunctious boys (10,7,4) I would be really nervous about potential damage or destruction of multiple precious objects! The description welcomes children, but I’d say that it might not be the best for kids who run around and are wild.)

The décor in the house is not kid friendly. The house is right on the water so bringing a boat was very easy and convenient. We did catch crabs and striper right off the dock. The ferry to Oxford is in walkable distance but not a lot to do there. I recommend driving to St. Michaels, it is not far and there are plenty of shops and eateries. The views from the house were amazing. Some issues we had were a lot of the outlets in the house and on the patio did not work. The master bedroom only has 3 walls so if you are in the kitchen you can look up and see someone on the balcony in the master bedroom. Fyi the dimmer switch for the dining room light is not round like the others, it is located on the kitchen wall and it is on the side of a regular flip switch. It took us awhile to find it. Overall we had a wonderful vacation but not sure if we would rent this house again.
