About this apartment rental

The nicely furnished apartment is situated at ground level in a country house with a large, park-like garden, bordering a brook and a forest.
The living room leads directly onto the terrace which is equipped with beautiful furniture.
Here you can relax in the sun or in the shade under the trees, enjoy the quiet and the nature or comfortably barbecue outside.
The property is fenced.
We have a lovely dog and three cats.

Leisure activities: Hiking and biking:
A lot of marked trails around Galhausen.
- Something very special is the ‘Ravel route, a traffic-free biking and hiking trail along the
former railway line.
- Regular guided walks as well as ornithological, botanical and historical walks.

Swimming:
- Indoor pool in St.Vith and outdoor pool in Wiesenbach.
- The lakes in Robertville and Bütgenbach offer many watersports.
- A brand new playground in St.Vith, near the sports center.

Shopping: Many shops and supermarkets in St.Vith.

- The castle in Burg-Reuland, Reinhardstein-castle in Robertville, old slate mine in Recht.
- Many churches and chapelles, some museums…

A very nice place to stay in a fantastic natural garden with a fabulous chicken family (fortunately behind a fence as they fascinated our dog tremendously). The hostess and host were very friendly and talkative. After a day of walking in the quiet and beautiful surroundings the place felt as really home coming!

Nice and clean apartment with very good shower in a beautiful valley near St. Vith. Enclosed garden ideal for our dog. Only the couch is not very comfortable.

Friendly and helpful owners. Dog friendly property and location (spacious garden) Cleanliness and condition of the property were so so. The furniture, kitchen and shower could need an update. Shower wasn’t properly working (lukewarm water). Location is great. After some adjustments and updates this could be a great property.

Nice stay at Sankt Vith over the Battle of the Bulge 'NUTS' weekend in December. Good location...easy to get around to all the doings. Very comfy apartment with open kitchen area & everything right there except a microwave, which we Americans are so used to...but OK without it...just used oven instead. Separate living room & bedroom...so plenty of space. Gisela was so friendly making sure all was going well & so were the equally friendly guest...the chickens & wonderful Ikko, the doggie. They'd say 'hello' at the patio door each morning!! Had a GREAT, FUN TIME ...

We stayed here for almost 3 weeks. This is one of the best places we have stayed in our travels of Europe. Eastern Belgium is most delightful. Our hosts were welcoming and helpful. The location is good for WWII history buffs and Gran Prix enthusiasts. We enjoyed many car trips to sites and attractions in the area, and into Germany, France, and Luxembourg.

1 Woche waren wir hier, es war wirklich sehr schön. Die Unterkunft und der Garten waren sauber und gepflegt, die Wohnung war mit allem ausgestattet was man braucht und einen Stellplatz für das Auto war auch vorhanden. Das ist ja alles normal und zu erwarten. Nicht normal ist de Umgang der Gastamilie mit Ihren Gästen. Man war immer für uns da, gab uns tolle Tips in Bezug auf Freizeitangebote und Stadtbesichtigungen. Unsere Interessen wurden im Internet recherchiert und dann als Link aufs Handy geschickt. Wir haben uns im hiesigen Tierheim einen Hund geholt, für die Familie Paquay überhaupt kein Problem. Wir hatten wirklich eine tolle Woche mit einer super Unterkunft. We had a lovely time. The apartment is clean, well kept and comfortable but for us (from the city) the real real joy was al beautiful and large garden, where thre kids could play freely, climb trees, our dog could roam, and we could hide the easter eggs. We ate all all our meals there. The environment was wonderful, with lots of beautiful walks very closeby and in the region. Gisela and family were warm and attentive hosts, always willing to help.

Een compacte maar gezellig ingerichte woning en voldoende ruimte voor 4 personen, Zoals iedereen die hier geweest is al heeft vermeld erg vriendelijke en behulpzame mensen, en al is het in een gedeelte van hun eigen woning toch heel veel privacy. We hebben het zo naar ons zin gehad dat we gelijk geboekt hebben voor dit nieuwe jaar. Dat zegt voor ons alles over deze woning en hun eigenaars. Niet luxe maar alles wat je nodig hebt is er, al raad ik aan eigen kussens mee te nemen, deze waren erg plat. Genoeg mogelijkheden in de omgeving om je te vermaken.. Wij hadden de pech alleen maar regen te hebben gehad dus weinig gezien.. Dus moeten we " helaas" nog een keer terug komen 🙂

Al bij aankomst werden wij hartelijk begroet.De woning is niet luxeius maar wel proper en net.De eigenaars geven de nodige informatie over wat er in de omgeving te beleven valt.fDe omgeving is super mooi,prachtige wandelingen in de omgeving.Wij komen heel graag terug naar Sankt Vith.Het enige wat ontbreekt (wij hebben het niet gemist) is een microgolf gemakkelijk om iets op te warmen.Dankjewel l-ieve eigenaars.

Mooie chalet in een mooi landelijke omgeving! St.Vith is een gezellig plaatsje, dicht bij Luxemburg ( goedkoop tanken) en Duitsland. Je komt hier tot rust! Hond mocht ook mee! De eigenaren waren super lief! Hele leuke vakantie gehad waarbij je lekker van de rust kan genieten maar ook lekker het bos in kan! Perfect!

Wer einfach mal abschalten und die Natur genießen möchte, ist hier genau richtig. Die Lage ist Super, mit dem Auto ein paar Minuten fahren und man kann zahlreiche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten wahrnehmen. Am Ferienhaus selbst befindet sich ein riesen (Parkähnlicher Garten,) mit einem angrenzenden Bach. Kind und Hund können hier auch problemlos alleine spielen, da der Garten komplett eingezäunt ist. Unser Sohn (6) und Hund haben es sehr genossen hier. Die Vermieter sind sehr nett, haben unseren Sohn öffters mit zu den Hühnern genommen, die auch mit im Garten sind. Fazit wir würden sehr gerne noch einmal hier buchen.

Het was een fijne huisje...best voor 2 personen. Er zijn dieren in de tuin die komen je begroeten, als dat een probleem is dan is hier je huis niet maar wij vonden dat heel fijn. Alles is duidelijk en proper als je binnen komt. Wat minder is is dat je door de garage moet gaan om bij je eigen deur te komen, dus je zijt echt in zijne huis wat een beetje raar voelt. Alles wat wij vroeg was meteen opgelost voor ons en de mensen zijn beschikbaar, maar geven je ook je privacy. Het tuin is groot, mooi, en rustig. Er is veel te doen in de buurt. Luxemburg is dichtbij met de mooie Mullerthal, oorlogs museums (Baugnez 44 was magnifique), spa francorchamps, recht steenmijn (zeker gaan, is je eigen rondleiding), Duitsland met kleine dorpen en goedkoop winkelen, Ourtal route wat brengt u langs veel leuke bezienswaardigheden (veel kerken)...wij hebben echt van de dagen genoten en dan 's avonds in de tuin een BBQ gehad. Echt super!

Kleine, feine Ferienwohnung mit gutem Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Sehr schöner großer Garten am Bachlauf. Freundliche Besitzer und freundliche Nachbarn mit freundlichen Haustieren. Idealer Ort für mich und meinen Hund um die Umgebung zu erkunden oder einfach im schönen Garten zu chillen.

Aan de achterzijde van dit huis, onder de begane grond. Lekker koel maar wel met een klam gevoel. Alles was aanwezig. Goed voor 2 personen. Bank en bed waren absoluut niet comfortabel. Veel vliegen maar de rest was allemaal oke. Lekker warme douche,tv met enkele zenders,Goed uitgeruste keuken en een heerlijke tuin met veel schaduw. De huishond was superlief. Goede uitvalsbasis voor st. vith, Bastogne oorlogsmuseum, Trier,Malmedy etc en veel wandeltochten die op z'n Belgisch vaker onderweg niet goed aangegeven en bijgehouden zijn. Google maps op je telefoon gebruiken! Eigenaker waren erg behulpzaam en goede gastheer en vrouw.

Wir wurden sehr lieb empfangen und konnten uns auch mit allen Fragen an die Vermieterin wenden. Der Hund hat regelmäßig auf der Terrasse vorbei geschaut und uns viel Freude bereitet :-). Der Garten ist riesig und wir konnten uns hier super mit unserer Tochter aufhalten. Die Wohnung selbst hat alles was man braucht, allerdings ist sie im Keller und sehr dunkel. Leider kam auch immer wieder ein sehr penetranter Geruch in die Wohnung, es roch dann sehr nach Abfluss und wenn man die Balkontüre aufmacht, kommen die ganzen Schnaken und klein Tiere in die Wohnung. Alles in allem aber ein schöner Aufenhalt.

van 24 juni tot 1 juli 2017 waren wij, echtpaar van 65+, op vakantie in de Ardennen. De vakantiewoning lag aan een rustige weg en we konden daarom lekker slapen zonder wakker te worden van het verkeer of anderszins. We werden vriendelijk verwelkomt door de eigenares die heel goed Nederlands sprak. De DVD speler die niet aanwezig was werd zonder probleem vervangen door een ander exemplaar zodat we in de avonduren konden genieten van " Madam Secretary " Een goed adres in een mooie omgeving, een aanrader. Het reserveren ging heel eenvoudig en communiceren met Gisela was vlot en fijn. De omgeving is heerlijk rustig en prima om kilometers ongestoord te fietsen. Het huisje is prima in orde, alles is aanwezig en we voelden ons er snel thuis. Het enige verbeterpunt zijn de matrassen, deze waren te dun voor mij (man, 1 meter 84 cm 85+ kilo). Gisela en Norbert zijn supervriendelijke mensen en boden ons aan iets later uit te checken op de laatste dag. Een te gek aanbod na een hee fijn weekend. Deze plek is een aanrader voor iedereen die naar Oost Belgie wilt.
