At an altitude of 600 meters above the east coast of Corsica, overlooking the Tuscan islands Montecristo, Elba and Capraia our apartments are located on the edge of a typical Corsican mountain village.

Located on the 1st and 2nd floor of our 500 year old house, the apartment offers comfortably space for 2 to 6 people (about 70 square meters).
It has a double bedroom, a bedroom with two single beds and two more sleeps on a folding bed in the living room. The kitchen is fully equipped with everything you need, such as stove, oven, refrigerator etc. In addition, the apartment offers a bathroom with shower and toilet.

From your apartment, you will enjoy beautiful views of the coast and the Corsican mountains. On clear days you can even make out the Italian coast on the horizon. Just a few steps away from the house is the private guest terrace with garden furniture and a barbecue.

The historic region of Castagniccia, which is dominated mainly by its wide range of chestnut trees, offers its visitors endless hiking possibilities up to an altitude of about 1800 meters.

Hike on well marked trails through a gorgeous natural landscape to abandoned villages, waterfalls and old mills. Cool then your tired feet in one of the clear mountain streams. Or visit the interesting cultural history museum in the old episcopal town Cervioni.

A special attraction is every year the blossom of fruit trees in spring; in September and October you can easily gather chestnuts for dinner on a hike.

The coast with its long sandy beaches, many shops and excellent tourist infrastructure is only a 20 minute drive away.

Directly at the house begins the municipal botanical trail, which informs in about 2.5 hours about a large variety of Corsican plants and thereby leads to historical monuments such as the Chapel of San Mamilianu and the source of Orsulinu, as well as to some of the places of the Costa Verde region ,

In the village itself there is a possibility to purchase traditionally produced Corsican cheese and sausage directly from the shepherds.

Our apartments are situated just about 9 km away from the main artery of Corsica, which runs along the east coast, between the mountains and the sea. There are excellent hiking possibilities many of which begin the front door of our house. On the other hand, the beach is only 9 km away.

Due to the short distance to the tourist centers of the east coast with their great touristical infrastructure and various offers for water sports and -leisure we can promise both hiking and mountain friends, as well as beach lovers a relaxing holiday.

During your absence we offer to look after your children if you are planning longer hikes or a cozy evening for two at one of the local restaurants. Depending on the age of the children we felt together, picnic, play, etc.

Please note that at our place you will depend on a car of your own or a rental car. At Bastia-Poretta airport you will find all car rental companies.
