About this house rental
Newly reopened for Summer 2026 "Ard Beag" sits in lovely grounds with private garden among some of Scotland's most spectacular scenery and commands wonderful views across the surrounding mountains. With ample parking and only a short walk to the village, the house ensures that guests will enjoy the feeling of a remote setting while being within walking distance of local amenities and services.
The space
The house is cosy, comfortable, warm and welcoming. Many guests have commented upon the house feeling like a "home from home" and that it is "very well equipped".
The house has 2 bedrooms (1 with king size bed and 1 with 2 singles), both with views across the landscaped garden to the mountains beyond. Both have fitted wardrobes making the place perfectly suited to family holidays or small friendship groups looking for a peaceful retreat.
The house has very large reception rooms which include large living room with picture window out to the mountains; large, modern kitchen diner with table and chairs with modern appliances and lots of storage space.
The adjoining reading room/ study with comfortable furniture and lovely views towards the surrounding countryside ensures guests are always able to enjoy the beautiful setting, whatever the weather. The room also includes a dedicated workspace for those working remotely or needing a comfortable place to research their trip.
The house also benefits from a covered veranda which too looks out towards the surrounding mountains - a wonderful spot to sit for breakfast in the morning sun or likewise to enjoy a glass of wine as the sun goes down in the evening.
For guest safety and property security, there are cameras overlooking the car parking area from the main house sun room and a doorbell camera on the main door. They monitor the entrance and parking area only. Audio recording is disabled. They only activate on movement. Video is only kept if required by the police

Thank you Kyle for letting us rent your property for a much needed few days break! The property was fantastic, very spacious, very clean and in a great location to explore various parts of the Highlands! Being a short 10/15 minute walk to the bars, restaurants and shops in Fort Augustus was terrific too. At the end of busy days, the property was a great place to unwind and relax!
Kyle was very helpful in all aspects of handling our booking.
Thanks again and we’d love to book this property again on any future trips to the Highlands!!!

The property was well situated for a short walk into Fort Augustus, the main road from the property to the village is quite busy and roads are narrow, worth being aware of.
The property owner provided fantastic information about the property and local attractions/ammmenities.
The perfect location for Highland exploration.

Had a wonderfull time,everything was just spot on,can not find any fault at all,communication with kyle and nick were very helpfull and fast response by them,already missing the place soo much .The home is well equiped and cosy family house, my kids and husband loved it and we will definetley recommend to family and friends.I would say the pics dont do any justice to the house once u see u would never wana leave the place.will visit again in future.Everything from pots and pans to spoons etc provided. Thankyou so much to the owners for providing absolutley everything.

Had a great week at this property… everything was perfect. A large property with everything you need for a great holiday. We had my elderly parents and they loved it as well. Easy walk into centre of town . Great location for visiting loads of places. Will definitely go back .. Host very helpful . Lesley
