Pleasant vacation apartment with a beautiful view of the lake just 900 m from Lake Como and 6 km from Varenna, in the romantic town of Bellano, a village on the eastern shore of Lake Como. Here you can practice sailing, kite surfing, windsurfing and canoeing. The apartment is on the mezzanine floor: kitchen and one bedroom lead to a small garden; living room and other bedroom lead to a covered balcony with lake view, equipped for outdoor dining. Good starting point to explore the picturesque hamlets of the eastern shore of the lake: Bellano with the 45 km long hiking trail ?Sentiero del Viandante? which was originally part of the north-south connection between Milan and Switzerland, following the ancient paths passing small villages, chapels and former alpine pastures, with splendid views of the lake. Still in Bellano you can admire the Orrido, an impressive waterfall in a natural gorge formed 15 million years ago. Nearby you can visit the Santi Nazaro and Celso Church from the late Romanesque period and the Santa Marta Church from the 15th century. In Bellano ferry connections to the other towns around the lake like Bellagio, Menaggio and Cernobbio with its luxurious villas with gardens:Villa Melzi, Villa Serbelloni, Villa Carlotta and Villa Balbianello. In Varenna you can visit Villa Monastero and Villa Cipressi, the Castello di Vezio and the Fiumelatte spring. With the ferry you can reach the main destinations of the lake. From the house you can reach the green Valsassina Valley, which offers a range of sporting activities such as hiking, horseback riding paragliding, climbing, Jungle Raider Park (amusement park), mountain biking. For skiing fans: Piani di Bobbio Pian delle Betulle. At 1 km is the center of Bellano with restaurants, cafes, lakeside promenade, stores of all kinds and the train station that allows you to easily reach Lecco, Milan.
