Exclusive house with fantastic sea views

The accommodation was superb. Absolutely everything you needed to have a great vacation was stocked in the kitchen, bathroom and other areas. We would definitely stay here again. The hosts were available when needed, but allowed privacy if that was wanted. They were great.

What a terrific spot! My husband and I stayed here for part of our honeymoon and could not have asked for a better place to stay. The house is lovely and very clean. The view cannot be beat, and the location was perfect. There is a nearby natural swimming pool, lots of great restaurants in the area, and plenty of great hiking trails. Finally, the hosts are absolutely wonderful. They went out of their way to welcome us and make the stay extra special. We are so grateful that we got to stay at Refugio. We will definitely recommend to our friends, and we hope to return someday ourselves. Thank you so much!

Just perfect ! The little house for two is very clean and nicely furnished with all you need (even more!), the bed allows a good sleep. The view on the village and the ocean is amazing. You can relax in the garden, listen to the birds, look at the stars... It is a quiet and peaceful place in the nature where we loved to stay. Due to its situation, it is highly recommanded to have a car. The owner and his wife are exceptionnel : After a lovely welcome with flowers and some goods, they were always available and very helpful in any request, even concerning surroundings (tips for excursions on Pico Island, restaurants etc). Thank you for all, Tobias & Silke ! When we will come back to the Açores (because we want to come back !), we'll contact you to stay again in your place on Pico Island !

Wir haben einen einzigartigen Urlaub auf Pico erlebt. Dies lag nicht nur an der Besonderheit der wunderschönen Insel Pico, sondern auch an der tollen Unterkunft von Silke und Tobias. Die Kommunikation im Vorfeld war reibungslos und unkompliziert. Bei unserer Ankunft wurden wir sehr herzlich von den Beiden empfangen. Ein Starter-Kit mit Leckereien von der Insel für ein erstes Frühstück stand im Kühlschrank bereit. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und top ausgestattet. Es hält sämtliche Dinge bereit, die man selbst evtl. im Koffer vergessen hat (z.B. Wärmflasche, Ladekabel). Das Bett war sehr bequem. Die Küche ist ebenfalls super ausgestattet und lädt zum Kochen ein - dank Spülmaschine gibt es auch kein lästiges Abspülen. Der Blick von der Terrasse auf den vorliegenden gepflegten Garten und das dahinter liegende Meer ist einzigartig - morgens kann man den Sonnenaufgang über dem Meer erleben. Die zur Verfügung stehenden Liegestühle laden zum Verweilen auf der schönen Terrasse ein. Des Öfteren haben uns Silke und Tobias bei der Rückkehr von einem Tagesausflug mit Kleinigkeiten (Spezialitäten von der Insel Pico) vor unserer Haustür überrascht. Silke und Tobias sind sehr herzliche, aufmerksame und rücksichtsvolle Gastgeber. Sie stehen bei Fragen mit Rat und Tat zur Seite, dies immer feinfühlig und diskret. Im Hinblick auf Corona fühlten wir uns sehr wohl, da das Apartment sehr sauber war und alle Gegenstände zuvor desinfiziert wurden. Silke und Tobias nahmen uns mit Abstand und an der frischen Luft in Empfang. Wir haben uns im Refugio do Pico sehr wohl gefühlt und einen wunderbaren Urlaub dort verbracht. Wir können jeder/m einen Aufenthalt im Refugio do Pico empfehlen - es wird einzigartig werden!
