About this villa rental
Sitting on just over half an acre of land Aquilae is a single level 5 bedroom villa that can comfortably sleep up to 10 guests. Aquilae comes with a housekeeper 6 days per week and a laundress 2 days per week. A Cook or Chef is available daily for an extra charge. The interior space includes five bedrooms with en-suite shower rooms, a well-equipped kitchen, an open plan living area with a bar which all open onto the expansive, full-length patio and pool terrace leading to the large infinity pool. There is a huge stone dining table under cover on the terrace and a stone bar which is very popular for sundowners. In addition there is a gym, a TV room and a small home office.
Designed to take full advantage of the cooling breezes and the stunning, panoramic sea views, the villa is further enhanced by high pickled ceilings and cool travertine floor tiles throughout.
Aquilae is accessed via electric gates and with a new security system. The villa is less than a 2-minute drive from beautiful Reeds Bay Beach (Thunder Bay), and is ideally located mid-way between the historic towns of Holetown and Speightstown where an array of shopping and dining amenities can be found.
Nearby can be found a huge variety of restaurants and bars including Lonestar, The Fishpot, Local & Co, Baia, Tides, Fusion, Seashed, Nishi and QP plus many more.
Guests at Aquilae also have access to the Fairmont Beach Club facilities on nearby Alleynes Beach.

Just returned from a great stay at Aquilea. Correspondence with Martin the owner and Maureen the property manager was very good. Our housekeeper Joy was very nice and did a great job. Delicia our cook treated us very well with some delicious meals. All requests were met with a smile. Very close to both Holetown and Speithstown. Been to Barbados many times and continue to be impressed by the people and sights.

The house is terrific. The layout with its 5 en-suite bedrooms was perfect for our group. There was also an additional powder room which was great for guests. The kitchen was big and modern. We had a chef for most of our stay which worked out nicely. The living room also had crisp, clean furnishing as did all of the bedrooms. The view from every room was spectacular. The pool was an inviting place to cool down and relax. The outdoor furniture was clean and comfortable. The location of the home was convenient to shops and a great grocery store for all of our needs. We would go back in a heartbeat! Martin, the owner, was very accommodation. We loved Barbados and our stay at Aquilae!
