About this house rental
Exceptional location near the end of Mere Point Peninsula, 25 feet from the ocean. Incredible southwesterly views of Casco Bay islands, Freeport and Portland. Comfortable updated year-round home with modern kitchen and 2 modern bathrooms. Water views from all rooms. Fieldstone gas fireplace. The house has a central heating system. 600 sq ft deck overlooking the water. 170 ft of water frontage with a large pebble and ledge beach. Private 100 ft seasonal dock with water at all tides. No mud flats. No waiting for the tide to come in to access the water. Two kayaks and one rowboat available on the dock. Member of a private 50 home association including access to acres of common shore front property.
Boats and other watercraft can be rented at nearby marina (Paul's Marina) which is less than 2 miles away. State of Maine, state of the art, all tide public (free) boat launching facility less than one half mile away (ideal for launching trailered boats.) Free guest mooring available.
Bowdoin College is about 7 miles away and it takes about 10 minutes to drive there. A number of Bowdoin graduates own property in the homeowner association and the house is ideal for those attending Bowdoin commencements and reunions.

The property was great! The house was lovely and we enjoyed everything - dock, deck, kayaks. The view was spectacular. We wish we could have stayed longer. Communication with Sean was super easy - thank you!

Fabulous week! Waking up daily to the sound and view of the water is just perfect. Sean was very available and kept us updated on things. Would definitely stay again.

We spent two weeks in this lovely home smack dab on the water and only wished we could have stayed longer. We certainly savored our times on the deck enjoying our coffee, happy hour, meals or just reading or merely taking in the spectacular view, especially the sunsets. In addition, we took advantage of the kayaks and looked forward to our morning walks in the neighborhood.
When we weren’t enjoying our digs, we ventured out to take in some of the delightful sights of mid coastal Maine such as Monhegan Island,
Eagle Island, Breakwater Rockland Lighhouse, Camden, Maritime Museum, the beach at Popham State Park, Art Musuem at Bowdoin, Portland, Pemaquid Lighthouse,, etc
We most certainly agree that Sean was a great. We couldn’t have asked for a better host..reliable, helpful, easy to get a hold of if needed.
We hope someday to return to this lovely place.
