About this apartment rental
The Villa Marguerite is a massive Vosges house end of the 1920s and was inside lovingly restored. Bath and kitchen correspond to current standards, otherwise we have tried to preserve the romantic style of the 20s. The house contains two apartments for 2 - 4 or 4 - 6 people. We describe in this display, the larger ground floor apartment for up to 6 people.
Location: Hohrodberg / High Vosges / Vosges (Dep. Skin -Rhin-Alsace) about 800 meters above sea level. NN, a mountain resort on granite / red sandstone. They have a southern panoramic view able to Munster and the Vosges Mountains Grand Hohneck - Petit Ballon and others.
The house is located in the walking area of the Col du Linge - Wettstein - Trois Epis.
Comfortable and well designated walking and hiking trails lead from the house in all directions. Good hikers reached from the house on day trips to lakes: Lac Noir, Lac Blanc, Lac Forlet, Lac Vert on the fells and through the Vosges forests. You eat out of the backpack or in one of the numerous Ferme-auberges (farmhouse inns in the mountains - only open in summer). The view, the environment and impressions of the hiking area, you will see our photos.
The house is free and very quiet, surrounded by meadows and pastures, but is summer and winter very good about Colmar - Munster - Hohrod - Hohrodberg reachable.
Munster and the surrounding area is known for its excellent gastronomy; here is also the home of Munsterkäs'.
In Hohrodberg itself there are three restaurants (Hotel Panorama, Hotel Roess, Hotel Aqua Viva). You can shop at 6km entferten Munster.
There are plenty of specialty stores that are alone worth the trip, and three supermarkets. Market days are Tuesday (small market) and Saturdays (big market) in the mornings until 12 o'clock. In Mustertal, as everywhere in Alsace, the main French. The Alsatians have prefer if you start with some French, but it also speaks German everywhere.

Ski Ski Schnepfenried is accessible by car (about 30 minutes). Cross-country skiing is possible.
All bedrooms have hot and cold running water and built-in wardrobes. The apartment is equipped with crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils, kettle, garden with garden furniture, fire / grill area, cellar, washing machine, iron / ironing board, if needed a crib, a small chair.
The "middle" apartment (1st floor) is privately occupied by the homeowners. All three apartments are spread over the entire floor, but are connected by the interior, built in old wooden construction staircase, so that a combined rental for a group up to 10 people is possible. For single occupancy, a curtain in the staircase separates the lower (holiday) apartment from the middle (private) apartment.
The ground floor can be reached from the garden via a private entrance to the corridor.

War mit meiner Frau und meinen beiden Kindern (5 Jahre und 1 Jahr) eine Woche in der Unterkunft und wir haben es sehr genossen. Wir sind gewandert, haben Städte besucht und auch mal nur in der Unterkunft entspannt. Hat uns alles sehr gut gefallen.

La propriété était propre et correspondait à la description. Seul bémol * le jardin n'était pas totalement clôturé ( nous avions un petit chien du coup c 'etait un de nos critères) . L'hôte d'accueil est disponible et sympathique. Nous avons toutefois passez un excellent séjour et toutes les commodités sont à proximité (< 10 km).

L'appartement est bien adapté à la jauge de 5 personnes et très bien équipé.
Nous avons apprécié d'y trouver ce qui pourrait manquer au démarrage: filtres à café, papier hygiénique, ...
Il faudrait peut-être mentionner sur le site internet que l'appartement est richement doté en tapis divers, ce qui peut contrarier une personne allergique.
