Lovely Pool Home Near Pinellas Trail, Honeymoon Island: Minimum Rental: 3 months

My wife and I had a great time at 1550 San Charles Drive in Dunedin. The accommodations were great. The living area was spacious and the backyard with built in pool was fabulous. Th we was a bit of maintenance required to maintain the pool in late November and December when the acorns fell from the large oak tree, but that was a minor nuisance. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Paul was very easy to communicate with and very responsive to our needs.

Overall, this is an incredibly comfortable home. Kitchen is well stocked w utensils, stoneware dishes, lots of bowls of many sizes, plenty of pots and pans, and even had a salad spinner and a teapot. Living room has three recliners, which got lots of use. Good sized flat screen TV w cable service. Never had a problem with the wifi. There are also two couches. There is wonderful room between dining area and screen room w a game table and a whole set of comfortable chairs plus a desk. Then there is the pool, which was wonderful. Sometimes the water was a bit chilly but we were in it almost every day. You will want to clean out some of the leaves each day, but otherwise, someone appears and takes care of the pool whether or not you are there. At the end of the day, the king size bed encouraged dreams and relaxation. Very comfortable. We didn't use the room w the twin beds but it's a nice looking room. Water pressure in the shower was very good and the laundry room was important, especially as we used pool towels and beach towels almost everyday. The grill is pretty old but it did it's job and we did use it many times. The back yard has lounge chairs and the screen rooms are both wonderful places for relaxing, eating (in the back) and reading. The yard is so incredibly private thanks to all the trees and plants, despite the closeness of neighbors. We didn't have any issue w neighbors and rarely heard them. It's about smile walk to the town, with options for restaurants, bars and breweries along the way. The Pinellas Trail is one of our favorite things about this area and started recognizing others during our daily walks or bike rides. I hope we get to stay here again. This is a home, so liveable, not a sterile cookie cutter condo. We really don't want to leave.

Had a great time. Family friendly and close to everything

The house was nice but know that the main TV is old and has blown speakers so you cant hear it at a louder volume. The TV (monitor) in the master is only about 20in. There is no other TVs in house. We actually went and bought one and brought it home with us. The deck was a mess of screws and nails coming up along with some loose boards. A friend sliced the bottom of her foot open on one after getting out the pool and I tore my heel on one at the edge of the stair. Owner states that he has a pool company that will come twice a week which we assumed was to take care of the pool leaving us to think that a team would come and clean this is not the case. One man comes and dumps chemicals and leaves and the second day an elderly (very nice) lady comes to vacuum and clean pool which made me feel very uncomfortable so we just took care of everything ourselves and just left her to run vacuum because it was not left at house. My husband and I went and bought new nets and pins for equipment and spend about an hour or more a day cleaning the pool. We had this house for the entire month of March and the leaves we awful there would be a layer every morning and there was no cover so every morning this had to be done and several times during day. The back neighbor spends his nights drinking and singing and listening to loud music until about 4am. The houses across the street and next door were under construction so that was not so nice. They offered 3 bikes to use all of which had flat tires. The house was clean and did provide everything you needed and did have new appliances but we definitely felt it was way overpriced. The area is nice and we definitely will be back just not to this house. I also contacted the owner on several occasions to try to discuss these issues before I left a review but he never responded.
