About this cottage rental
Social distancing is never a problem in Downeast, Maine.
Our cottage is located in Jonesport, a small fishing village off Route
187 which is situated between Sandy River and Popplestone Beaches; it is
directly on the ocean in one of the most scenic locations in Downeast.
The cottage is slightly elevated above the shore and faces east
overlooking Chandler Bay. There are spectacular sunrises for early
birds, and sunsets that turn the ocean iridescent, while setting the offshore
islands aflame. Our property sits above rugged granite ledges, but a sandy beach is within walking distance.
Spectacular views can be seen from inside the cottage, while outside the sights and sounds of the ocean will surround you. The wild flowers and gardens on the property are constantly visited by humming birds.

This property was exactly as described. There were adequate stores for supplies and we were able to find delicious seafood relatively nearby. The view from the cottage both from inside and on the deck was absolutely breathtaking. You cannot get enough of it. Great internet connection for those who just can’t get away from it all. We took short trips to nearby villages for lobster and a wonderful day trip to Campobello Island. It was the perfect spot if you’re looking for a relaxing peaceful vacation.

This is our 3rd year here and it did not disappoint! The setting cannot be beat, and the cottage is just right for us. The day we arrived, eagles and ospreys were soaring and seals were corraling fish just below - what more could we ask for?!
