About this house rental
We warmly welcome you to our beautiful Villa Grassy Key in southwest Cape Coral. It is located directly on a fresh water canal and offers everything you need for a perfect vacation under the Florida sun!
We know from experience that the pool area is one of the most important places on a Florida vacation. Whether sunbathing for relaxation or a refreshing stay in the pool - you spend most of your time on the water, protected from insects by a screen. Thanks to the south-facing view of the canal, you have an unobstructed view of the sun all day long. The water in the pool is heated by an electric heater.
You can take your meals comfortably on the terrace, a large dining table with enough space for 6 people is waiting to be set. For sunbathing and relaxing there are 3 loungers and a covered lounge seating area - pure relaxation!
In the event that you do not want to sit by the pool or in the sun, the house has a bright, open and fully air-conditioned living area. The transitions from living room, dining room and kitchen are fluid and you always have a clear view of the terrace, the pool area and the canal.
The living room is furnished with a comfortable couch on which all guests can find space. A large smart TV do not make long evenings in the house boring.
The kitchen has been fully equipped and offers you every conceivable comfort. Whether dishwasher, oven, microwave, fridge with fresh water and ice maker, toaster or coffee machine - everything is available. You can have breakfast directly at the practical bar if you do not want to start the day on the terrace. A dining area with a view of the pool offers plenty of space for a meal for up to 6 people. There are plenty of dishes and cutlery for your stay.
Our spacious and open-plan house offers 3 bedrooms enough space for up to 6 people.
The master bedroom is furnished with a king-size bed, a Smart TV, and a large walk-in closet, and offers you a direct view and access to the pool area. A beautiful ensuite bathroom with a large walk-in shower, toilet and double vanity is also available for the master bedroom. The other two bedrooms are each equipped with a queen-size bed and share a modern bathroom with a shower, toilet, double vanity and direct access to the pool area. All rooms are fully air-conditioned and have a large wardrobe, ceiling fans and Smart TV. Fresh bed linen is available in all bedrooms and already made up on arrival. All bathrooms are equipped with sufficient towels as well as pool or beach towels so that you don't have to bring your own.
The laundry is equipped with a washing machine, dryer, iron and ironing board.
So that our youngest guests feel at home with us, there is of course a baby cot, high chair and pool and beach toys available free of charge.
Throughout the house you can use WiFi high-speed internet free of charge.
The entire house is tiled and therefore allergy-friendly.
So that you can enjoy the excursions to the many beaches nearby, we provide you with a cool box, parasol and beach chairs.

Great amenities. We couldn’t think of anything we needed that wasn’t included. Plenty of towels, kitchen gadgets etc. The only thing that would’ve helped is if the pool was warm enough to swim our first two days. I think we overindulged on our allotted electricity usage by trying to get it warm enough by day three (our overage for 7 days was 56).

We really liked the house & pool as well as the area. The kitchen was well equipped & furniture comfortable. Some housekeeping issues upon arrival and management co. confused on our arrival date but all in all nice place. No solar panels any longer.

The house was hurricane damaged with a large tarp over the roof, significant ceiling water stains inside and the screened porch structure over the pool was mostly intact, but with about half the screens. The pool was full of debris like it had not been cleaned for a few weeks. We questioned the health of the pool since it did not show proper care.
I had previously written the owner about the damage to the house prior to my final payment I had received that they had somdamage but expected resolution before arrived. The actual state of the house was never made clear to us. I feel like it was a bit dishonest to not provide the conditin before we arrived
We asked the property manager to resolve this pool cleanliness and it took 3 days and multiple follow up contacts including a complaint to the owner to get resolution. It didn’t help that we missed the only 3 warm days we had due to the polar vortex which hit a day later and brought 40F weather.
The refrigerator had a bad smell and the water system to the ice seemed spoiled(likely due to hurricane loss of power and water). We asked the manager to resolve. 2 days later he dropped off a new filter, when it did not resolve the issue, he provided no more assistance to rectify. The a/c system intake was full of dust and needed cleaning and the manger blew that off and never took action saying he just cleaned it every 6 months.
I’ve rented at a lot of Vrbos and other equivalents and this was the worst care I have experienced.
The location is in the middle east of Cape Coral. Shopping is near but it is a far drive to other parts of the area such as south Fort Myers and Naples. We have stayed in other parts of Cape Coral (more south and southeast) and we liked the neighborhoods better.
