About this house rental
Beautiful 2 bedroom (plus attic loft) home brings contemporary living to this hidden gem just 2 hours from NYC. We gutted the house completely incorporating modern amenities like a stainless steel kitchen with granite countertops, hardwood bamboo flooring and a large deck to enjoy the view of the pond just steps away. Relax in the living room watching the flat screen TV or just looking out the picture window to see the fish jumping in the pond right outside . Shmooze in the kitchen or at the dining room table just steps from the sliding doors taking you out on the deck to dine al fresco. Walk down the dock just steps from the house to swim in the refreshing pond or use our kayaks for a leisurely paddle. Our home is a great place for all seasons; watch the leaves change in fall, the flowers bloom in spring, close to skiiing in winter and lots of water fun in the summer. Not to mention the close proximity to the Berkshires and all it has to offer. 2 hours from NYC makes this an easy drive just to get away after a hard week at work. The house is located directly on Robinson Pond; we have a tandem kayak, and a single kayak available for your use. The house is 30 miles from Tanglewood, close to Jacob's Pillow, a short drive to Bash Bish Falls. This location is ideally situated close to NY as well as to the Berkshires plus hiking, skiing and swimming. Close to Catamount and Butternut ski areas..

This was a first time using VRBO. The place exceeded our expectations. Beautiful quiet area. Within a 40 minute drive is Hudson, a cute little town. We found a fun place for lunch called Warren 225. 40 minute drive to the Norman Rockwell Museum, and an hour and 40 from the Mark Twain house and museum. We plan to return.

The water and outdoor sitting areas were very nice and peaceful. We enjoyed kayaking and paddle boats that were on the property. Pick up your own firewood on the way if you’d like to use the fire pit outside. We loved it!
The overall house was okay, however, the bathroom and towels were not cleaned well at all.
