Apartment in the city center, near public transport, 1 bedroom, sleeps 2

I stayed here for a week and I must say this apartment was perfect for me. The price is very affordable considering how central the apartment is located. In the middle of the old town there are many restaurants, shops and bars just a short walk away. I was relying on using public transport during my time in Montpellier so it was handy for me as the train station was just a 10 minute walk away and it was a short walk to the trams. The Place De La Comedie and all the other attractions in the city centre were all just a short distance away so it was perfect for me. The apartment is small but well equipped but if you are not planning on spending much time in it like I was then it is ideal. Marie-Louise is a very pleasant and helpful host and also gave me some good recommendations for places to go. Also the stone wall upstairs gives the place a cosy feel! I would definitely recommend it and I would stay here again if visiting Montpellier which I intend to do sometime.

I stayed at the property for almost three weeks, and it was perfect for me. It's centrally located where all the action is. I took day trips to Nîmes, Arles, Sète, and Carcassonne and returned in the evening. The flat is a little less than a mile from the train station, and I bought my electronic tickets with my smartphone using the SNCF app. The tram runs right by the flat, and there's grocery shopping and laundry both within a few hundred feet. You can rent a city bike for €0.50 per hour and bike to the beach (14 kilometers to Palavas) on a picturesque bike route, or you can take the black line tram from the Observatory stop all the way to Perols/Etang d'Or and rent a bike there to cruise the beach at Carnon. From there, you can bike south to Palavas. If you bike to Palavas, it's worth the extra 15 minutes west to visit the Maguelone Cathedral, consecrated in 1052! Marie Louise was a wonderful host and made me feel very welcome. She has great suggestions for places to visit. The place is small and has low ceiling beams in the upstairs bedroom, but I got used to it. I had everything I needed, and I cooked meals there more than eating out, which gets expensive and can be heavy. I would definitely stay here again, and I would like to return to Montpellier next summer.

Hace tiempo que quiero escribir este comentario. Es un apartamento ideal para conocer Montpellier durante un fin de semana, pero tuve la oportunidad de alargar mi estancia durante 2 meses (de enero a febrero de 2015) por cuestiones de trabajo. ¿Qué decir? Es un sitio céntrico, a 1 min andando del tranvía de la Place de la Comedié, punto neurálgico de la ciudad desde donde puedes ir a diferentes puntos, entre otros la playa y el centro comercial. Está situado en una calle tranquila y cerca de la estación de tren y supermercados. Además está perfectamente acondicionado con calefacción, wifi, cocina amplia (con nevera incluida). A pesar de su pequeño tamaño, está aprovechado cada metro cuadrado de la casa y decorado con un gran gusto. La respuesta de Marie ante cualquier eventualidad es alucinante, respondiendo de manera rápida y eficiente. Cosas negativas: el café de la máquina Senseo no era de mi gusto y, de manera excepcional dado que está cerca de un bar, en algún momento del fin de semana podía escucharse a la gente que salía y armaba algo de jaleo transitorio. Otro inconveniente es que no tiene lavadora, y has de ir a una lavanderia que está muy cercana (a lo que te acabas acostumbrando). A grosso modo, un lugar espléndido para pasar cortas estancias (de meses o días) y disfrutar del corazón de Montpellier.

Vraiment très bien. à proximité de tout commerce ( rue commerçante à deux pas) et de tout intérêt touristique. aucun besoin de véhicule. la rue est très calme( aucune voiture) et située dans le quartier historique, suffisamment éloignée des "rues de la soif" ( ce qui préserve des propos sonores et éthyliques fréquents à partir d'une heure du mat'). l’intérieur est pratique (chambre à l'étage) et bien équipé( wi-fi, télé, micro-ondes etc.). très certainement frais en été. le prix est plus que raisonnable et ce qui complète bien le tout: l’hôtesse est charmante. Une vraie bonne adresse .
