About this house rental
Located hillside at a calm place, there is seaview from livingroom, bathroom and masterbedroom. on the terrace you can enjoy the sunset.
In the garden, which is not visible from outside, you can lay under the palmtree or nuttree, you can pick the lemons directly from the tree. In the evening you can have a nice barbecue.
The fully equiped kitchen, the big oak table at the fireplace and the open livingroom is located at the groundfloor, also bathromm and entrance to the garden and terrace. Above there are 3 bedrooms, a dressing room and the balcony with connection to the terrace and and garden.
The thick natural stone walls care for coziness and cooling in the summer, the masterbedroom is airconditioned.
Ayvalik has pictureque narrow streets, churches, mosques and fantastically old houses. Many restaurants are offering delicious seasonal starters and fresh fish dishes. The delicious olive oil comes directly from the local factories.
In a view minutes you can reach the historic city center. At the harbour there are sunny caffees, inviting restaurants and many shops.
To the sandy beach in Sarimsakli or Badavut, which is seven kilometer long or to the small bays on the peninsula Alibey, which is famos because of the fish restaurants, you can get in a short time with busses or the local taxies. The small islands of Ayvalik are inviting for boattrips, for divers there are underwater paradises.
With the ferryboat you can reach daily the greek island Lesbos. The airport in Edremit is reachable within 30 minutes, to Izmir it takes less than 2 hours. Trips to Assos and Bergama are recomandable.

Loved the balcony and garden, it was a great place to start the day. Everything you could possibly need was supplied in the cottage, and the host provided such a thorough file of useful local information and a refrigerator full of food which was appreciated and unexpected. The cottage is located on the hillside, amongst other old stone buildings which makes it an interesting walk through the cobbled streets to take in the character of Ayvalik. Conveniently located to walk around Ayvalik sights, restaurants and to the Cunda ferry. Car parking was a challenge, we always got a spot close-by but some people would find the narrow roads and access difficult to manage. Also the number of steps down into the property, up to balcony and within the property between bedrooms and bathroom would be difficult for those with mobility issues. We had a great stay and appreciated Britta’s prompt and helpful communications during our stay and arranging convenient arrival and departure meetings.

Die Eigentümerin ist zuverlässig, sehr gut erreichbar und stets bemüht für einen tollen Aufenthalt in ihrem Haus.

I was very fortunate to select this house for my stay in Ayvalik.The house is truly amazing with all the amenities you can ask for and the best feature is its fantastic view of the bay and proximity to downtown. We were four people in our group and we all agreed that we made a wonderful choice renting Britta's gem, we would definitely highly recommend this gem of the property to anyone who wants to visit Ayvalik.
