The park is an ideal place to visit the National Parks Weerribben-Wieden, Drents-Friese Wold and Dwingelderveld. The inviting town of Steenwijk is 10 km away. Other nice excursions from this vacation home are the animal park Taman Indonesia 7 km and a boat trip through the world famous village Giethoorn 19 km. At the reception you can get good tips for hiking or cycling in the beautiful surroundings. From late April to early September you can swim in the adjacent outdoor pool 'Bosbad' for a fee.
