About this cottage rental
Recently remodeled farmhouse/country cottage! Its comfortable, quaint, and very private. The property is gated with a seasonal pond and the grounds are like your own park! Close to Derby, shopping and restaurants, and 15 minutes from downtown Wichita. The 10 acre country setting has 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, great room, dining area and country kitchen. There are two decks for dining, and taking in the beautiful views, or simply to relax. Perfect for family gatherings or simply enjoying the country lifestyle! This is our family sanctuary. Abundant wildlife is safe here including wild turkey, deer, ducks, mallards, Canadian geese and so much more. Located on a newly paved road but 1/4 mile tucked away with over 500 trees including black walnut, sycamore, maple, willow and giant cottonwoods.
This home away from home is truly a special place and offers a remarkable experience. Away from the big city but close to everything. Unplug for a bit! We hope you love and respect our special place.

We were extremely pleased with our stay at the property. We enjoyed fishing in the pond and campfires at night listening to nature and the coyotes howl. Perfect relaxing getaway.

The home was cozy with plenary of room. The property was gorgeous with land to roam and beautiful trees. The best part was sitting on the deck in the evenings. The only negative was the low water pressure when showering.

This was one of the most peaceful and serene places I’ve had the luxury to spend time. It’s private, quiet, and provided the perfect setting for writing and reflection. The train whistles are frequent and it’s so quiet in the surrounding areas that if you really listen, you can hear/feel the pulse of the train moving along the tracks. The pond (while sadly shrinking) provided ample entertainment, with turtles, frogs, and fish all active on the water. A Great Egret and Blue Herron both made daily, lengthy appearances, much to my delight. This property is clearly well loved and the owners, apart from being wonderful stewards of such a special place, are kind and very accessible, as is the caretaker, who is a delight. This is a wonderful place to stay and I hope to visit again someday with my family.
