Pelican House - Modern Family Retreat

We loved the simplicity and the space. This house was extremely comfortable and we all enjoyed our stay, including 2 dogs. We had everything we needed and enjoyed the location, except the distance to the shops.

We didn't feel like we should risk using the BBQ in case we didn't clean it satisfactorily and received an extra charge. My bed had an electric blanket on it which was was really bumpy and rigid, making it uncomfortable to sleep on.

The house was very well equipped and comfortable for an extended stay. It had ample parking for our cars and the street was quiet. The yard was great for the dogs and there were walking tracks nearby to exercise them.

I would have liked a second towel for each person as our stay was for 6 nights and the weather was damp;not ideal for drying.

Spacious well appointed property with comfortable beds. Nice quiet location with views to the sea. Enjoyed East Beach, Buchan Caves, spotting Koala's on Raymond Island and playing crazy golf in Lakes Entrance.

Disconnect in process between Booking.Com and property agents. Was asked and gave ETA by email from Booking.Com. Expected email from property on how to access but never arrived. Got to property and couldn't get in. Phoned agent who said they couldn't send email as didn't have my email. Before they would give key lock number had to complete online form and pre authorize payment card. All very annoying especially after 4 hour drive and tired children. Limited bin bags, washing powder for dishes and clothes. If we had known we would have brought our own!

Someone had put washing powder in the fabric softener part of the washing machine. We cleaned it out. The property was amazing will definitely be coming back
