This Home-Away-From-Home is the place for your large gathering to spread out and relax. There is over 3,200 sq. ft. inside- and mostly on the main floor.
We're blessed to be on a secluded area of tranquil White Lake and only 5 minutes from the charming towns of Montague and sister-city, Whitehall, across the bridge.
There are too many attractions nearby to mention – truly something for everyone!

Maple Beach House serves as an excellent home base featuring these highlights:

We have two full sized refrigerators and a small one in the basement with a digital temperature control. The coffee maker brews ground and K-Cups.

This inviting retreat has everything you need for making memories with your loved ones.
Maple Beach House itself offers plenty of areas to relax and play, but it’s also a perfect home-base for the Whitehall/Montague area providing easy access to Lake Michigan and close proximity to all other points of interest, activities, and conveniences.
If you are looking just to chill, look no further than this peaceful place. Read that vacation novel, while enjoying the cool lake breezes in one of our 6 bedrooms. Take a snooze under the beautiful tree canopy. Or grab one of the provided beach towels and head to the beach to lounge by the water to enjoy the sunshine, the sound of the lapping waves, and maybe some unhurried conversation.
Everyone will love this spot on White Lake for its gorgeous panoramic view of the blue (not actually white!) waters, which are often remarkably un-crowded.
At night, build a bonfire - have s’mores and tell stories. And don’t forget to stargaze!
Please note that children are very welcome and, hopefully, will be quite entertained.

The house is easy to get to – a short 15 minute drive from US-31.
It is 3 hours away from Chicago and Detroit, and 1 hour from Grand Rapids.
MBH is ideally located to enjoy the best of each lake:
White Lake’s warmer, calmer waters for water sports like skiing, tubing, fishing, and swimming.
And Lake Michigan’s immense waters & wonderful beaches with soft sand and waves –
5 miles away via boat (via channel access with its great view of the White River Light Station & Museum)
and car (convenient parking is available at Duck Lake State Park Beach, where you can enjoy Duck Lake, the warm, shallow waters of the channel – a big hit with the kids- and the “big lake”).
The house will be stocked with some starter supplies such as coffee, filters, sugar, salt, spices, paper goods (towels, tissues, toilet), soap (hand, dish, dishwasher, laundry), garbage bags, propane, roasting sticks, and firewood.
Food, beverages, and extra supplies needed can be purchased nearby. The sister cities of Whitehall and Montague are only a couple of miles away. Montague Foods has a large selection of high quality groceries, beer, and wine. Check out the World’s Largest Weathervane before going in! Also take advantage of the Farmers Market (and Artisan Market) across the street on Wednesday and Saturday mornings.
When it’s time to eat, you will find everything you need to prepare meals for 12 and serve meals for 24 (who wants to do dishes every day on vacation?), or to call for takeout or delivery (menus from local restaurants are at the house).
Check out the White Lake Area’s Visitors site at whitelake.org for a wealth of information, including a downloadable Visitor Guide. There are many special events throughout the year, such as the Cruz’In Classic Car Show, the Arts and Crafts Festival, and the Wine and Jazz Festival. But, you can easily spend any day just in the walk-able picturesque towns of Whitehall and Montague with its many unique shops and attractive places to get some tasty food and drinks. Montague and Whitehall boast a handful of excellent craft beer, wine, and spirits makers.

Going to miss this view! We had 16 in our group and this property was perfect. Provided privacy in some areas of the house for the teenagers and adults, amazing fishing right off the dock! Lots of canoes and tubes for the kids. Lovely fires at night and lots of great bars and restaurants within a 5 min drive. Highly recommend!

Everything was as expected: cozy, clean and comfortable house with beautiful views. We really appreciated the immaculate white linens and towels. They have more than enough towels for our big group of 18. Kitchen is well equipped with good knives and plenty of pots and oven trays, condiments and other items that are necessarily in the kitchen. We mostly used the grill, which also works great. The outdoor space is wonderful, with lots of seating and a nice fire pit that we used every evening. The kayaks are a nice addition to the other activities you can do around. We are planning to come again when weather is warmer so we can enjoy the beach and the water as well. Thank you for hosting us!

While the lake and home were not perfect; we had a great time. The reality was for the price we would have liked better conditions. The lake has grass growing and this year algae bloom so we could not use the dock area for children or adults. We did not like the feel of the seaweed like grass on our legs while swimming.
The deck was our favorite place to hang out and multiple people received bug bites … not mosquitoes… tho use needs to be addressed as everyone was using Benadryl cream and hydrocortisone cream all week along with large amounts of OFF.
As for the home the place is clean but we really wish some of the bedrooms had more room. In order to accommodate the full sized bed… it took up 90%of the floor space so there is no room for getting around the room… this also innthe king sized bedroom.
The kitchen was small as well for 18 guests to cook for… luckily we were prepared to grill most meals and it only rained once while there
