Around the fjord are idyllic villages, pretty churches and from the many vantage points you can admire the charming landscape and the blue of the fjord. Down by the fjord in Mariager, take a journey into the wondrous history of salt. Don't forget your bathing suit to try out the portability of the Dead Sea at the Mariager Salt Center. On the nearest coast there is a beach meadow. As the nearest sandy beach we can recommend the bathing beach at Øster Hurup.
