Although this property was comfortable in many ways, we also found some discrepancies. It was just not quite as clean and nice as the pictures made it appear. The patio, which we were excited about, was rather dirty with leaves and cobwebs. There were no working fans like the picture showed, but luckily we had brought our own. The downstairs patio was very run down and only used to enter and exit the property when going to the lake. The TV did not work except for movies. We had asked for help in this, and were told somebody would be by to help, but nobody showed up. If you have a larger crew and need to use the extra couches for bed, make sure to bring your own blankets and pillows. Yes, some were provided, but had my kids not brought their own blankets, we would not have had enough. The kitchen had a nice, new fridge, but make sure to bring anything else you may need such as baggies, foil, spices etc. The location is fine if you aren’t planning to get out much. It was very quiet and peaceful and the lake was wonderful, but the driveway is steep and there isn’t a whole lot around (within 30 minutes) as far as entertainment.

Could not get TV to work and called owner he said he didn’t know anything about fixing it would text us his daughter number. Shower on main floor the knob to turn water on kept falling off and it was broke so unable to regulate water. The shower was very slow in draining. Driveway so rocky my car spun several times trying to get out driveway. Downstairs porch was horribly dirty. Won’t be coming back here.

We were a little disappointed with our stay considering the reviews were previously wonderful for this home. The house, screened porch and parking were wonderful for our 7 adults and 3 kids staying. An hour after bathing the kids we noted that their feet were extremely dirty from playing barefoot in the house. We realized that the floors were quite dirty and swept and mopped them all. Baseboards and under beds were extremely dusty/dirty especially on the lower level of the house but we did not take the time to clean these. We went to take advantage of kayaking but found there was only one functional paddle for two kayaks so we were not able to go out kayaking together which was disappointing. Unfortunately two days into our stay the drain from the washing machine was overflowing and everytime we ran water upstairs it came out of the drain in the wash room. We communicated with SOS HOMES and they were able to send someone out to find that the septic tank was full. We understand that things like this can happen with any home but it makes for a stressful situation to deal with while on family vacation as we were unable to cook or use the toilet and shower on the main level until they uncapped the sewer lid to release the pressure. Once the cap was off the septic were able to use the upstairs facilities like normal however we were not able to sit out on the screened in porch or sit outside in general because of the sewer fumes. Again we understand that these things can happen.

My husband and our 2 teenage kids stayed here for our yearly summer trip. We were worried the water would be too low based on some past reviews but it was quite the opposite. It was so high that there was only about 10 ft of backyard. A neighbor said it only happens about every 3 years. A nice sandy beach area out in the sun would've been better but it definitely didn't keep us from getting in. Having the kayaks was probably our favorite thing about the house. The house is much bigger than we expected. My husband & I stayed upstairs & the kids had the whole down stairs. I do think they need to find a new cleaning lady & get someone else to tend to the up keep of the outside of the house. It wasn't dirty or nasty but there were places in the kitchen not cleaned & items left from previous renters that they clearly missed due to not giving everything a thorough cleaning. We've stayed at a lot of VRBO/airbnb homes & this was the first that didnt have basic condiments & seasonings, board games, & soap, shampoo & conditioner for the shower. Its something we just assumed would be there. Also there is no can opener. So heads up when traveling from far away. The listing is missing a lot of info that would've been very helpful for us when packing..they have several lifejackets. Adults & kids. They have a nice floor fan in the master (a must for when I sleep so I packed my own) there are several outside chairs you can also use out in the yard & a propane tank but you must refill.

The house was very nice with plenty of room for 6 adults and 4 children. We really enjoyed using the two kayaks provided. When looking at the property pictures online, it looks like the house is off by itself when in reality there are close neighbors on each side. The driveway is really steep and if you don’t have all wheel drive or 4 wheel drive you might not make it out of there. All in all we had a wonderful vacation!

We enjoyed our stay. The water levels were quite high during our stay, but we were still able to take the kayaks out on the lake and enjoy a quiet weekend.

The house and property were beautiful! We found it very resonably priced and was a perfect fit for 3 families with a couple kids. The drive way is no joke and I must stress how steep it is; especially if you are unfamiliar with mountains, be preppared! We almost couldnt get one of our cars back up it to leave! We had a few cleaning issues but the host was super responsive to the issue and has addressed it with their cleaning company. They were very sincere and prompt with dealing with the issue. We would definentlt stay here again!
