About this house rental
In the heart of the Chianti area, between Radda in Chianti, Gaiole and Panzano, there is an enchanted hamlet where you can appreciate the contact with nature and your children can play in complete freedom. The hamlet, where you can still breathe the atmosphere of past times, consists of three residential units, is called Ensoli and was a real farm in the 17th century. The estate is located in the woods, 500 a.s.l. and is ideal for your wonderful vacation with family or friends, with whom you can enjoy your meals outdoors. In the world-famous Chianti region, well-organized tourist villages alternate with other unspoiled places where the inhabitants all know each other and the village bar is still the main meeting place. In Panzano, which can be reached by car in about half an hour, you can visit a famous restaurant housed in a butcher's shop and taste the real "Florentine steak" ! Besides the production of olive oil, wine and chestnuts, you will find a Cinta Senese (pig) breeding. Visit the breeding with your children, because it is a unique experience that will remain in their memory for a long time. Access to the vacation property is via a 4 km long gravel road. Attention: your own car is essential here. The train station of Montervarchi 10 km.

Good: Amazing remote location, forested valley all around, deer & wild boar calling at night. Pool superb - large & clean. Houses were comfortable - basic, somewhat dark (traditional Tuscan). Shared kitchen and outdoor shaded area was lovely, 16 of us are around the table every night. Michele, our daily contact could not have been more helpful, 10/10 for him.
To improve: the kitchen equipment is too basic cooking fit this number, e.g. a grater, nice serving dishes, another roasting tray, rolling pin to make pasta some cake tins etc.
There are mosquitoes, check the netting and provide plug in killers. Give a clear warning that this is 3km along and down rough track, definitely not suitable for many cars. It is remote/ cut off but we loved it....
